Default Anyone want some stock tires?

I swapped mine out early in favor of some Falken Ziex ze-512s. Please note.. I ran over a decent sized nail with the left rear tire, so 1 is slightly damaged. It's an easy fix I'm sure, but I wanted the Falken's anyway. The nail didn't completely puncture the tread; in fact, I drove on it for 2 weeks without adding any air or fixing it at all! The other 3 tires are in perfect condition. I'm more interested in clearing out some storage space than I am in making money off these, so make me an offer if you're interested. I live across the river from DC. I'll ship them if necessary, but definitely prefer a pickup.

I just put the Falkens on my Baja and am very impressed with them. They're on 17X7 ADR M-Sports in hyper black w/ a 40mm offset (screw what the tire calc says). The slighty lower offset pushes the wheels out just enough to complete the look and there is no rubbing w/ 225/55/17's. Couyld have gone with 235's w/ no rubbing. But yeah, great tires w/ a stiff enough sidewall the handle the Baja's fat ass and they bite much better than those rat potenzas. Seem good in the rain, can't comment on treadwear just yet. Enjoy 'em!

sorry, i should have put the mileage in the previous post. i put about 600 miles on them before the swap.

tirerack.com shows them as selling for $110 per tire new. i dunno... $300 for all 4 since one of them will need to be repaired?

you mean that lower offset pulls the wheels deeper in just enough, right ??? to push 'em out you need to increase offset.

$80 bucks for blackwall like the man said... don't know how long their special is...most time when you call, their 'special' is out of stock anyway... in any case, $300 is not a bad deal for tires with 600 miles.

http://www.discounttiredirect.com (aka tires.com)
is selling BF Goodrich Traction T/A HR for $88 apiece w/ free ground shipping
and they are much better all-seasons than those OEMs and if somebody
wants to save money they can buy yours Falken Ziex ZE-512 for $65 apiece w/ free ground shipping also (V, and H will be $2 cheaper)...

so $300 for slightly used, twice mounted 4 tires w/ one of 'em having some nail damage ? come on...

I am just trying to explain why you should not even ask for something close
to $300 or even close to $250 for that matter...

Agreed with the Goodrich Traction TAs.... they offer good grip in the snow and offer better hydroplaning resistance in the wet. When it comes time to replace the RE92s on the Baja, that'll be the tire (I have them on my Saturn)

and Traction T/As have quite stiff sidewalls as I can see on my Forester (wife's actually).

How do like the Falken Ziex ze-512?

I have ~45k on the Bridgestones (can't wait for them to finally wear out) - so I'm looking to replace them w/ 17" MB Weapon rims and the Falkens (package on Discount Tires Direct).

love them. i never really had a chance to drive on the potenzas in the rain or snow, but the falkens tear through the elements with ease.

Can you meet me over the bridge in Cambridge or Easton? I might be interested and will pay the toll for you. I'll be in Easton/St. Michaels area in the next couple weeks. Keep in touch with me and let me know.

Never mind then, thanks anyway, I've never been over the bridge and don't know my way around that area and don't have the time that day to spend chasing after tires. I only have the one day to go to Easton and St. Michaels so would only have time to meet you somewhere on the Eastern Shore. Good Luck.
