I also wanted to ask about your Grimmspeed parts: Did you have any problems with them? I'm looking specifically at the TGV Deletes, P&P on the turbo, maybe the intake.

http://www.grimmspeed.com/catalog/index.php

Does that site work for anyone else? It just keeps reloading the index page regardless of what I click on.
No ewg setup. 2 bolt. I got my tgv deletes from busted finger motor sports. I did have the grimmspeed ewg kit and it looked awesome. They also did the porting on my intake Manifold and did a great job. Their website sucks tho. Call them if you need to order something. Half the time it doesn't work.

I think you're referring to a 3-port EBCS? Also not sure if that was directed at me, or someone else?

I would say try to source a grimm speed kit. Are you gonna for sure go ewg? They legit. Maybe find one used. It's just metal.
Definitely going EWG. I think this turbo is big enough that it could really benefit from having one.

I like the GrimmSpeed ones, but the runner that feeds the EWG is almost perpendicular to the up pipe, so it won't see a natural flow of exhaust. I like the look of the UR one because it angles pretty well, so that would more easily flow. How much difference that would actually make real world, I don't know, but it would just be a bit more reassuring for me knowing that it's setup proper so I know I won't ever have issues with flow in the future.

I know my up pipe is aftermarket, so I'm actually debating once I get the car running taking it to Lenger Racing and having them just fab me an EWG dump on it. I'm thinking I want to have the dump tube exit through the hood.. I know that makes driving in in-climate weather more hazardous as I have the possibility for precipitation falling in to the dump tube, but that also gives me all the more reason to keep my speed up, or get on it and have the tube clear itself out.

Also, up at 2am today because I can't get my car off my mind. I keep trying to think of ways I can get out work as early as possible so I can come home and work on my car in the driveway in the cold temperatures and drizzling rain. I'm broken.

I have the ceramic grimmspeed up pipe (not ewg obviously) and the quality is definitely top notch. Heard good things about their tgv deletes too.

Awesome man. =)

Louie, why did you say nevermind about Lenger?

Aron, how soon till you get another tune? I need to look at a tune for my car desperately.. I took it out today to try the transmission, and it either pulled a **** load of timing or hit fuel cut pretty hard in first. Ffuuuuuuu!

Is your turbo a 3071, or a 3076?

No way am I driving this thing in boost anytime soon. This map is FUBAR. This had to be someones first attempt at tuning

It runs and drives well enough. I think I'm going to collect the pieces I want to tune for power wise, then tune it. In the meantime, I'll just scale my MAF and take care of my codes/idle.

Are you for sure going with Clark, Aron? I'm going to give tuning a go myself this time. I figure I'll tune my car until I tune back myself in to a corner that I can't get out of, then ask someone to look at my log/tune and help me out.

I was not happy with lenger not to bash good people but after giving them a car for a simple stage 2 + upipe and header, and some belt changes like timing belt ect instead of finishing it in a week or two. They were working on it one day a week and it took week after week after week. The end work was alright but the person who referred me to it made it sound like it was a good subaru shop ect when in reality they had one subaru tech guy that must have worked there one night a week, but to work on a car one night a week was not cool even more so to not say that was going to happen till after they already had the car. Sucks when your ready for your car back and week after week they say next monday you call friday and they will say ow not monday next monday rinse repeat = lost any hope in us choosing them as the next shop we go to.

I said nvm because i said basicly what i said above but decided i should not bash people that were good people just not what i would look for in a shop.

That sucks to hear, but it's also hugely helpful to have input from people who have used their services first hand. The problem is, I don't know of any other custom fab shops in the area. Exhaust Special-T's in 'skegon could do it, but they're far away. Hell, I could do it if I had access to a TIG, but I don't.
