Post L.A. Auto Show meet Jan 13th.....

I know this is sort of late and I also know Hollywood Park has an autoX the following day but the WRX will be there. So how does breakfast and the autoshow sound. I would say the Holiday Inn again for breakfast but it sort of how shall I say blew a**.
So does anyone know of a restaraunt close by to meet up at? I will be coming from the Oceanside area and can stop by to caravan with others (Scrappy, Soob2k, etc.)

Post here if you are going as I know that some BAIC members are interested in going as well.

sounds good. I'm up for it.

For Food - there's a place in Downtown LA that's never closed, I've not been there but I hear it's good and it's pretty close to the Convention Center. I'm sure others have better ideas.

We will meet for breakfast about 8am as IIRC the show opens at 930 or 10 (I'm probably wrong).

Bugsie, I believe the place you are talking about is called "The Pantry." Yes it is very good, close to the convention center, and always open. Problem is, parking is kind of a biotch and it is kinda pricy. I woudln't mind going though. Either way, I'm down for the show.

P.S. Rich, we need to talk yo!

Eat at Philippes, on Alemeda, southeast of China town.

PLENTY of FREE parking. Easy access to the freeway for a quick convoy to the Auto show.

Tavern-like atmosphere, with long wooden tables and sawdust on the floor. Been open since Moses was a young lad. OK, perhaps not that long, but they have been there since the 50's at least.

SCRAPPYDO is in for this buddy. I fondly remember sitting in a BRP one only a year ago... <sigh>.

We can meet at ISR if you want to Rich as that seems to be a good rallying point these days.

LA Auto show should be great this year. I have my camera ready!

ITs suppose to be 8 bucks. But if you run to Chevron, they have coupons for 2 dollars off. No purchase necessary.

How do we know for sure the WRX will be at the show? I thought it wouldn't be unveiled until the following week in Detroit.

Rich, if Francis would bring us some Krispy Kremes, we would not need breakfast!! Just a thought. This sounds like a blast. We can all buy some Subaru polo shirts and sit around the turbo answering the questions that the Subaru reps and car show girls cant. They barely know what color they are much less what counts. All I ever got from them was a bunch of "I dont know's" and "I cant say at this time's"

Hell I consider myself an officiando, seeing's how I bought two new subies in a freaking year!! Or does that make me just stupid

Anyway, short notice or not I am in. Unless something comes up at work, which I sincerely hope it doesn't!
