Default It figures... 150 miles on the new tires and I pick up a large nail

I was driving home late last night and I heard a "click click click click click" that increased/decreased dependent on my speed. So I knew it was either a large pebble or a nail in my tire. I checked it out when I got home and sure enough it was a nail.

Why do new tires always attract nails and screws?

I took it by the tire place down the road and they did an internal patch for ~$25 so it wasn't a big deal.

Hopefully this will be the last of my automotive bad luck for a while. They come in 3s, right?

1. Totaled the red wagon.
2. Door ding in the STI.
3. Nail in tire.

Yeah, door ding already. I'm trying to adopt the "ehhh, it happens" mentality so it doesn't bother me much anymore. That's not going to stop me from parking hella far away from all cars in parking lots though.

I picked up 2 fish hooks in one of my tires. Right on the side walls, too.

Having my new tire mounted at Mach V today.

You've already done more damage to that car than most of my cars cost

Hopefully the curse is over. If bad things come in 3s, something bad is going to happen to me in August 2009.

I can't detect if there's sarcasm here or not.

Come one guys, it's not THAT bad.

- The tire was easily fixed.
- The door ding can be fixed. I had paintless dent repair done on the red wagon a few times and you couldn't even tell where the dings had happened.
- Totaling the red wagon bummed me out (I still am bummed), but I replaced it with the STI. Can't complain about that!

I adopted that mentality when my car was hit by a truck and ran off and then wen my car got keyed. only months after buying it. sad..

Similar things happened to my 2005 STi in the first few hundred miles I owned it. It sucks, but it does make you a little less worried about the "new" car (just a little!).
