Every one comes in here and posts these things and posts NO pictures. You're not part of the solution.

I posted pictures. Scroll up and behold the glory that is the best suspension set up in the world followed by arguably the best engine mods known to man.

Kenneth Blockington would be green with envy.

You can also see how dirty and ugly my stock calipers are. If only someone had a solution in the $10 to $200 range that I could cover those up with

You're the problem with this community.
I've said countless times that I would take any valuable knowledge. You've given me very few numbers that don't actually help with the outside temperature of the calipers.

Let me go over this:

Opposing views think they are absolutely stupid. They think tape absolutely won't hold up. They think they absolutely won't sell.
My views: If you think they're stupid fair enough, that's your opinion. I'm not sure if tape will hold up, testing is necessary. I think they will sell, but will the sell well? They have potential.

See the difference? Opposing sides have closed minds. I have an open mind. Who looks like the dickheads now?

They look damn good wide. The 10" width has nice concavity

They have a good mounting system, but it's kind of wonky (learned that term from Chris at Killer B haha). I have a set on my turbo cobra that I installed a few years ago. Every now and then I hear the clips rattle or rub on the rotor an they can be squeaky. I haven't had that issue on my wrx though. I do believe they claim their mounting system is patented, although I couldn't find it in the patent search.
I've posted these pics before, but I'll do it again. Here's my aluminum caliper covers. I've had them on for 23,000 miles now with no noise or brake fade... and I have less wheel dust. And I believe the aluminum is acting somewhat as a heat sink.

What type of brake pads are you running?

I put caliper covers in the same catagory as spinner hubcaps. I'm just saying.

"Caliper covers are stupid, they're so ricey" blah blah blah

They look good man. I like how they are hard to notice and very clean looking. May I ask what others think of your covers? I need to do a market study. What if there was a more affordable and better designed set of covers, would you purchase them or recommend them to a friend?

Yeah, 265/35/18 BFG G-Force, AKA ****ing noise makers. I would love 275 wide to make them fit with out the slight stretch, but they would rub like crazy on the fender liner.

This is why I call it the full retard set up. I could probably fit a 275 on a nice 18x9.5 +38 but I just love the RPF1 and wanted the nice dish the 10" gives.

I am waiting for Direzza Z2 Starspecs to become widely available and will most likely be switching to a quality double duty daily/autocross tire.

I hope I don't offend anyone, but this is the first thing that came to mind! Lulz...

JSchell: I'm in the same boat. I wanted a 10" wide wheel to heavily compliment the wide stance of the car, with future plans of running a ridiculously wide tire, when/if flares come available.

Didn't understand the joke. Jschell got it though. But hey, if he does respond, good for me.

It's the way you worded your questions in that reply...

For the record, I have stock brake pads. 1st and only ones I've had.

People either don't notice them or do a double take. Then they tell me that it looks clean or something along this line.

I opted for more of a subtle look by going black without any fake bolt heads. I just wanted to cover up the stock ugly ass silver cast look.

In the end, to each their own.
