Sorry guys, noob question.

so what happens when ouset WDC above 90% or even 100%? I suppose the theory holds thru for all solenoid systems, max it out and it will burn out. Or least that is the case for fuel injectors.

I know the Grainger/ARO solenoid can be held 100% indefinitely. I don't think I've ever heard of any other solenoid failing. It's unlikely you'd ever have a tune and situation where you'd need to hold it 100% for more than a second or two.

The factory tune actually has an absolute max map buried in it. Enguinity/Romraider has it defined. I think the default on most stock tunes is 90 or 95%.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Just put this on my car yesterday, SPT intake, ebay front mount, 3" catless exhaust, cobb stage two map, Spikes 19psi, holds 17 after that. Much better than before. 2nd gear at 17psi is pretty quick.

Going to fine tune the map once I get back from florida. Kind of wierd how the map didn't need changed to be able to drive the car without over boosting (other than the spiking at 3k).

Next mods...fuel pump, blow thru maf pipe and dyno tune

I've been experimenting with the GM BCS for the last couple weeks and I thought I should share a couple things I figured out. I couldn't find answers to these 2 common questions so here is my opinion on them.

1) Some people need to lower WDC by as much as 40% and others don't need to change it. Why? It depends how the hose system is changed. The easiest vacuum hose to find are 5/32", larger than stock (stock is 4mm), so WDC would need to be increased. The restrictor pill is also gone.

A)With 5/32" hose, no pill. I couldn't hit more than 12PSI at 90% WDC
B)With 4mm hose, no pill. 17PSI at 70%
C)With 4mm, with stock restrictor pill. 17PSI at 40%

2) Why some people can hear the click and others can't? 2 things. How the BCS is bolted on the car and if you have WDC at really low RPM/Throttle angle.

A)With BCS directly bolted on the stock hole and no rubber grommet, 4% at start of table = Really loud clicking

B)With BCS directly bolted on the stock hole and stock rubber grommet, 0% at start of table = It's clicking but you can't hear it

C)With BCS bolted on the stock hole with the stock rubber grommet + Extra rubber O-ring, 4% at start of WDC table = Really soft clicking

problem...

part#12102747 is coming up as a radiator cap on GM parts direct...

is there a new pigtail number?

that and will this do anything for my BAJA turbo with no tuning 100% stock?

Pointless on a 100% stock car with no tuning. You'd have to tune your car for the GM BCS, and there wouldn't be many gains if any with the stock exhaust pieces.
For the pigtail, you can use a connector for the windshield washer reservoir pump. Free from a junkyard.

well, I will be installing a DP and STi TMIC... turning the boost up to a whopping 13-14psi...

I will be using romraider and ecuflash...

THEN will this mod be useful?
