my first 1/4 mile time
4EAT tranny. its all they had i was young, stupid and made a rash decision.
16.6 @ 81mph. 2.38 60' 10.64 660' @ 66mph Kinda sucks because a stock 5 speed 2.5i is supposed to do a 16 second flat quarter mile. My only defense is this was my 3rd consecutive run and only timed run of the night. So maybe launching somewhat hard the two previous times and waiting in line for the third didnt help. Also I didnt launch the auto to hard, just brake gas and go. I didnt torque rev it too hard. I am just a little depressed about a run that slow. Mods: 2.5" cat back wrx ram air/williaty hybrid intake custom tuned by williaty I guess my next step is a header setup. And possibly cams in the future. Dont get me wrong I didnt buy this car to drag race it. Its just depressing when I get smoked by a brand new chevy silverado lol. He ran a 16 second flat. We were neck and neck at the 660' mark.

All suspension aside,
2.5 N/A is quite good for rallycross. You get to be in a very low class, and you get to stay somewhat competitive. The differences with 4EAT and MT are not as apparent in rallyx vs autox because you can't lay down the power as hard in rallyx. That, and left-foot breaking is just easier when you don't have a clutch to worry about! Plus a lot of people actually prefer N/A over the Turbo Subarus because of the even power delivery. It provides a predictable exit. |

Don't feel bad, I have a auto 2.5i, add to that the DBW delay and I know how you feel.
However, my car def has more go juice with the UEL setup, trackpipe, etc. No exhaust restrictions. She def pulls harder across the board. Just understand if you go track pipe, she'll be one loud bitch, hence the need for me to have (2) resonators on the centerpipe, non baffled. |

Yeah, and the 9 second 0-60 time doesn't help with morale much either.

Someday I'm going to have to make it out to one of those drag strip thingies. That's when that pavement stuff is in a straight line, right?

Update....I think my car was just running bad that night. Since then I have raced a 2005 WRX with a SRI & a 2009 Honda Civic Si. Beat them both several times from a roll.

I understand the Civic Si, but a WRX? Damn, he must've missed 2 consecutive shifts or must be a ****ty driver or something.

He had a passenger. I gave him like 3 or 4 trys at beating me.......he said his car wasnt running right. I asked him if he was hitting it hard he said he was definitely going for it and that he thought I had an STI.
