Dyno Tune: Torqued Performance 09wrx 2.5L + 3076 + E85 makes 434whp
Just got done adding some more boost today, thanks to Eric Minehart of Torqued Performance for the tune, Perrin for their parts, and Import Image Racing for the remaining bits I needed to pick up. Driveability is great, power is a whole lot of fun that is going to take some getting used to. Funny how numbers work out, I made exactly double the HP a stock 09 wrx puts down on this dyno

Cool car. I know you can go lean on E85 but at least on my car there was no extra power by going that lean .
I amazed that the clutch is not slipping |

Nice, seems to come on a little late for a 09 with 30r (dual avcs) but dyno's are misleading sometimes , on the street it may fullspool by 3500.... Good numbers ... Dare you to try and launch it.... MY act streetdisk wouldn't hold a launch once I tuned it over 400 wtq with airboy roaddyno... It would spin the tires through 1st then 2nd and once I hit 3rd gear it would just start burning the hell out of the clutch and the revs would just go straight to 6000 rpm range while I went no where but slower... I too seen no gains above 12.0 afr with E85 I even targeted 11.75 because the gains were very very minimal above that...

If I remember right, it was high 90's. We did do a pull at 26psi tapering to 22 I believe and the afr's were fine so dropping it down to where we are now, hopefully these injectors will be ok up that high in duty. That 26psi run sure sounded/looked nice but felt we better dial it back.

Not liking what I hear about that clutch, what did you upgrade to? I made one failed launch on lower boost. I have alot of learning to do on driving the car, it will be awhile before I try launching again so hopefully this clutch will last me a little while. |

You can get a 6-puck but driveability suffers, twin or triple disk if you want something that drive nice. |

At least we get e85 stations on every corner here. I'd love a twin or tripple but damn that's a lot of money. |

I have not upgraded the clutch yet.... car is parked for the winter and I sold the 30r, so I am thinking I am going to get a 6puck or something that will be able to handle the 40r thats going on the car in the spring... FYI from a roll the act street disc always held...only when I would beat on it and dump the clutch from a 5 mph roll or from a stop it would slip like mentioned above... I know its nice, having E85 available, MN has the most E85 stations in the country( I have a map with all of them too lol)...

I am the tuner of this car and it really came together quite well.
IDC's(In Romraiders Logger) Where close to 100%, However these Injectors can easily handle High IDC's, Also The higher boost run did had IDC's close to 110% in the logger but AFR's were consistent. The AFR's are around a gasoline equivalent 12.0:1. I have found this is a good AFR for max power. Any leaner doesn't help out much. Getting down to low 11's can rob you of power. High Altitude is a whole different animal. Our cars spool much later here. A VF52 usually hits peak torque around 3800 RPM so This isn't all that laggy really. Also this turbo recovers very quickly, so whenever RPM's are above 4500 there is no lag. Just instant boost. You don't even need to take the car to redline to keep the power on. Maybe next year with a built block and turning up the fuel pressure, we could easily break 500 WHP on e85. |
