Thanks. Yes, I negotiated the WRX hood when I bought the car brand new - that and the hatch spoiler. The scoop is functional now too, installed a top mounted cold air intake:

a nice boost of 10hp aint bad - really like it.

What other plans you have for yours?

I really like the top mounted air intake. I plan on doing that as soon as I get hood. Gorilla makes one that I want. Should be getting the windows tinted this week. I already bought an accord intake to put on for now and a new grill and clear side markers. They should be arriving wednsday.

Very cool! I'm surprised you havent gone to discs in the rear yet. You gonna throw some BFG 28s on there?

I almost did earlier this year. For the OBS, you have to get both rear knuckles, rotors, calipers, and the parking brake cable. Its a decent amount of work and just haven't found the right parts car yet - already have WRX front rotors/calipers though.

These Grabbers are 28 inches, I'm happy with that tire size. The next things I am planning are 5mm wheel spacers to widen my track little and then another 1in or so from a set of custom springs or Foresters springs. But that has to wait until I figure out what I can do about what all that will do to my drive axles (concerned about the length and the angles).

threw some yellow tint on the fog lights. Also put a cobb catback on. Next thing is still needing to find rear struts. Trying to save for that and an anniversary next month is getting tricky tho. I plan on taking her to Colorado so I can have some fun with the obs as well!

Very clean - and I understand there is going to be a modification coming soon?

BTW - is that a 17' canoe in one of your previous posts - always wondered what length would fit well on the car?

Yeah it's a 17' only issue we had is that the oem crossbars aren't as wide as id like. It worked but not ideal.

I enjoy the MPG, but I wouldn't have minded a WRX I have other toys that go faster that a WRX so this is just the "college" car and will get other goodies like tint, tunes, suspension, WRX brakes, wheels/tire, etc. No performance stuff.

The color is actually holding well. The only issue is the black painted aluminum trim around windows. The summer sun has caused some fade. So I think next summer I'll work on some flat black rattle can touch up.

Cheers
Steve

Pics

Keep this thread alive with some updates.

De-badged and 18% tint all around. Goes back next week for the windshield after 2 chips get filled this weekend. Also going to pull the side moldings off if I find time this weekend.

I want those rims. And BLKbird I'm interested to see how it looks minus the door molding, I never thought of doing that.

Agreed, I also wanted to pull that molding off, but I believe there are holes in the door where it clips on as well as glued on...? take some pictures if you peel that off!
