Thumbs down my first CEL! woo hoo!

well my first CEL came on this morning...

"Code PO546 - Vehicle Speed, Idle Control, Aux" or something to that effect.

What is it? Should I clear it?

My Engine mods include TurboXS boost controller set at only 14psi and up-pipe.

Thanks,
Nirmit

Actually PO546 is - Exhaust gas temperature sensor circult high input

Which actually means the EGT reading from the uppipe is too low.

That means either your egt probe in the uppipe is history, or it fell out, is loose, or something to that affect. I pulled the same code a couple days ago, I still need to look under there and see what the deal is.

the OBD2 scan tool I got stated "Vehicle Speed, Idle Control, Aux." Am I not reading it right?

Exhaust gas temperature sensor circult high input - Does that mean that my EGT's went too high and burned out my stock probe? I thought that a non-cat uppipe was suppose to reduce EGT's. I was actually getting a EGT gauge installed tomorrow - what timing. The car is driving normal, but I cleared the CEL anyways. I'll see if it comes on again and have the people that are installing my EGT gauge take a look tomorrow.

Thanks,
Nirmit

That's probably the general category the CEL falls under, or maybe it just says that because it doesn't know. Here is a list of obd-2 codes for our cars:

http://www.northursalia.com/m...obd2/obd2.html

The high input reading actually means the temperatures are too low. If you do a search for P0546 on the board you'll find a bunch of threads. Most of the time the EGT sensor in the uppipe has just worked itself loose.
