Default Oregon Trail Pro Rally

So, anyone going to go to this, either as a spectator or as an entrant? I volunteered again this year, and will be road marshalling the first 2 days of the event (I work Sundays), great way to see the race! No people around to get in the way, usually a good view, and might even get a free t-shirt out of it! Last time I volunteered, I did road marshal the first day, and stop time the next day. That was cool, got to watch the cars race the first day, and got to get up close and personal with thm the next day as I filled out the timeslips for the navigators. Anyways, who else is going to be aound there? If you want to volunteer, go to Volunteer Form and sign up! Dates for the OTPR are April 23-25, by the way.

Edit: Just found out from Primitives post on i-club that you can also contact Gloria Hale directly at [email protected] for info on volunteering. I just filled out the form I linked to, and she eventually got to me, but this might be faster. Anyways, just an FYI.

Keep an eye on the official site Jamie posted at the top. Closer to rally time they'll have spectator info posted.

sunnynw speaks the truth! That's why I'm volunteering again, it's the best way to watch the race! So go volunteer, they could use as many people as they can get.

You don't need a rally car to watch! Where you coming from? I'd say chances are good that you could hitch a ride in with someone if you asked around.

Sunnynw has it right with my "Grrr" explaination.

I will be working every day of the rally that I can though. I encourage everyone to get out there and work this event!

A warning though... You'll get hooked on rally!

I will be there... just waiting on spectator info. My fiancee had never seen rallying in any form until she met me, and after her sitting with me through Speeds Rally marathon a couple months ago, she is excited to see it in person. Not to mention my sister lives in Forrest Grove... so I have a free place to stay. See yall there, and the best of luck for all in the event. Brake an axel, peace. ~Erick

Talking

There's a happy little 18B-Righton in a shop near here.. Sounds like it could be the same car...

The Super Spec Impreza Class, hmmm...

BTW, I know the guy you got that car from, he's quite a character...

You'll be rallying before you know it.

Anyone want to share a car rental or hotel room (or both)? I'm flying in to Portland from Sacramento.

Also, should I stay in Portland or should I find a hotel somewhere else?

Just don't choose the Travelodge in Hillsboro...VERY scary place!

You might try the Candlewood. It has easy access to the freeway & Parc Exposé, Scrutineering @ Royal Moore Subaru.
