Some guy asked why I got the wrx instead of sti and said I needed to upgrade the pulley so I could turn up the boost. Then I would be able to keep up with an sti.

Should've told him you've got one of those new beltless superchargers... called a turbocharger.

Fun facts of the day: a gear-driven "turbosupercharger" (later shortened to supercharger) was patented in 1885. The gas-driven turbosupercharger (shortened to turbocharger) is much more modern, being patented in 1905!!

I'm sure everyone has had the "wheres the turbo button?" one at least once. I started just hitting my hazard button before going WOT to **** with them.

Too many people forget or just plain don't know that the "muscle cars" were not all that fast.

The HP numbers from the 60s were all lies and were eventually adjusted in 1972 before they were corked and but >400ci engines barely made 300hp most of the time and thats the overrated advertised numbers anyways. Meanwhile the 350s and smaller engines made about the same power they did in the 1980s. Most of the cars other than pony cars were ridiculously heavy too and most of them had transmissions that were geared wide.

Classic muscle cars are ridiculously overrated.

That is, until people start doing work to them. Hit up a drag strip and tell me how many cars you see that are under 10 seconds that aren't a classic muscle. Those big engines were **** from factory but can be made stupid with work.

Big block 69 corvettes could easily turn a four second o-60 time. But you keep on telling yourself that...

Pumping gas into my 2012 WRX hatch. A man with a caravan/Winnebago from the pump on the other side starts chatting to me.

Him: Hey nice car! Is that a Toyota?
Me: No. Its a Subaru. WRX.
Him: Ohhh. *keeps chatting away*
Me: *gets back in car, starts it up*
Him: Whoa! That's no Toyota!

Shortly thereafter, I went searching through this website for Subie Etiquette and whether or not its acceptable to slap someone for saying such things. I found nothing.
