I dig the i3. Great, low cowl and big glass. Classy interior imo, modern but with nice materials.

If the suicide doors and RWD work for you go for it!

More wagon-like than SUV apparently.

I had to do some setup for a govt visit last week and just moved one around the parking lot. The matte paint is a pain in the ass, and you have to use special car wash and detailing products (sample provided with new car). It isn't as stiff as I thought it would be, but you can feel the weight at low speed, as the Smoking Tire video states.

I setup the demo with a G90, a GV80, the new Santa Fe Hybrid, and IONIQ 5N. The Veloster N parked next to it is my personal car. She's a big beast. I also wish they did the non-matte Performance Blue in US Market.

I like that blue color. Wouldn't care for extra special care requirements though.

Good job at keeping them in the lines...

Why no GV70?

The only "extra special care" I've taken to keep "Shooting Star" was to buy a matte specific cleaner.

I haven't "scrub washed" a car since the advent of the foam cannon

I like the powder blue on the Veloster. Matte is a pain.

Doesn't the car come with a cleaning kit? I've seen the Out of Spec Dad use it.

Mine did but I wasn't 100% if it was from the factory or the dealer.

I used the "hotel bottle" of cleaner the one time and have been using chemical bros. matte cleaner since.

It's no more of a pain in the ass than washing my wife's SUV

Seems like a rip off of Subaru's Cool Grey Khaki to me...but I still like it too.

Just returned from my most recent trip to Japan, here's my casual observation of general EV use in Tokyo & Kyoto:

Tokyo: as far as I could see walking in the various neighborhoods of Tokyo, pure BEVs on the road were non-existent. About 50% of the privately owned cars and taxis were the usual HEV's usually Toyota or some Hondas.

Kyoto: weirdly I saw a lot more BEV's and they were almost always taxi's or rideshare vehicles (Uber Japan) and 90% Hyundai's of all things. A lot of Ioniq 5 taxis and the occasional Kona EV. I think I saw ONE Nissan Leaf BEV in both cities.

When the bulk of your nation's manufacturers are living in 2014, as far as EV manufacturing goes...

The light blue is Performance Blue, their signature color for the N models. It looks better in person. I've always been a fan of BMW's Laguna Seca Blue, so it's right up my alley.

GV70s are a bit hard to come by. They're actually kinda rare in the US still, but they just switched to Alabama production. I'll leave that up to you guys whether that's a positive or not.

The K-VIN GV70 with the 3.5TT has been my absolute favorite company car so far and I wouldn't mind owning one as a personal car. Super thirsty on gas but that's not my problem. Everything on that platform (G70, Stinger, and GV70) drives fantastically.

There was a smaller version of one of these in the trunk of the car I was prepping last week, so I assumed it's included at retail.

https://www.drbeasleys.com/matte-pai...scription.html

Came with the bucket and everything, so maybe the 5N comes with the whole kit.

Also, our Chargepoint chargers at the headquarters are terrible. 6 hr 42 mins to do a full charge on the IONIQ 5N.

Level 2 AC chargers are always slow. Especially if they are free. Might be on a 30A circuit.

Yes, Dr. Beasley comes with the car.

CNBC does another piece, convinced that China will make their way into the US EV marketplace no matter how many protectionist tariffs in their direction.
