Default What Did I See Today?

I was out driving around today and saw some test vehicles that looked like Subarus.

Of course, the fronts and backs were taped black, but not that much.

Anyway, I saw a little convoy of 3 vehicles. The fronts looked like a cross between the 04 and 06 Forester. The flanks were vaguely like the Tribeca. The back was like a Forester.

Overall, the size was somewhere between a Forester and a Tribeca.

I'm not sure these were Subarus. They had twin tail pipes, but the pipes were skinny. There was a very un-Subaru like handle on the rear hatch, like a Kia. The rear suspension looked more like a Ford Escape. The ground clearance was definitely lower than a Forester.

I'm guessing this was a Kia with rip-off Subaru design cues. Either that or the next gen Forester will get the H-6.

You can all line up now to kick me for not having a camera.

*kicks* I'll tell my pops to keep a look out, his office is like right on the line where all the prototypes drive. He sees masked cars all the time.

Damn! Thats a kick!

Also, stinger radio antenna on the roof.

Cloth interior, no third row seat. No hood scoop for turbo. Driven by 50'ish white guys wearing shades.

It was the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Sure looked like a Subaru to me. I think I need to lie down. That was a viscious kick in the head.
