I just got the swift sports with tokico blues installed on my 03. I wasn't expecting an extreme drop but I'm not as enthused as I thought I would be with the end result. The rear has about a 2 finger gap and the front has a 4 finger gap, hardly even.

Can I expect these to drop a bit more after settling in? The shop mentioned they should drop a bit more in a week or two.

I had my Swift Wagon Springs installed onto my 2003 WRX Wagon along with Koni inserts. All I can say is WOW ! The dropped my car nicely - The gap measurements before in front was 3.5" and now it's 1.5" gap. The rear was about 1.75" and now it's .75".
Very happy with the look - a friend of mine has RCE Wagon Springs and I have to say the drop is pretty much the same as mine.

I just want to chime in on Swift springs..... I love 'em. I've put them on three different cars; on an 05 STI (mounted on Feal re-valved stockers), on an 02 bugeye wagon (awesome stance created there, by the way), and most recently on an 05 Fozzie XT.

Looks matter... I get that. But thats not why I keep going back. I keep buying swifts for the impact they have on handling. They make aggressive cornering very predictable, even out bad roads with no bobble-headedness, and generally make the cars feel more planted, without giving up ride comfort.

On the FXT, I mounted them on a new set of KYB's. In a perfect world they would drop the car another 3/4" front and rear, but the improvement in handling overwhelms my objections to ride height.

I've owned a number of different suspension setups; some of them very expensive, and I've experienced many other suspension systems in the cars of friends. I've come to the conclusion that Swift springs, mounted on appropriate struts (valved 15-25% firmer than stock if possible) represent one of the best "bang for the buck" modifications available for the Subaru.

Anyone install Swift Springs on BC Coils? If so, how do you like it? I'm looking to go that route but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I have been running on my swift spring upgrade on my BC coils for about 8k now and it has made difference for me. This is coming from someone who has been running the stock BC coils for about 60k+ miles. These coil have not seen any track time just all L.A daily driving miles.

I will say they are worth it , but IMO i do wish i would have saved that money to do a Feal upgrade/rebuild job on my coils first. Check out Feal suspension before upgrading to the swifts.

I just installed Swift Sport springs that I bought lightly used from a member here along with new KYB Excel-G struts (the GR-2 replacements) on my '06 Sedan.

I wanted the most cost effective improvement to handling and looks I could make without ruining the ride and I definitely got good results.

The drop in the rear closed the gap entirely. If anything, the top of the tire is now slightly up inside the wheel opening. In the front there is now maybe a 1" - 1.25" gap between fender and top of tire. On level ground the car has the slightest nose-down attitude when looking at the rocker panel - perfect. I have to be careful in parking lots now, the front lip will hit curbs where it didn't before.

The ride is really good on most roads, very supple and absorbs road seams, grates, manhole covers, cracks, etc. as well or even better than stock. On old, worn pavement on the freeway where the pavement blocks are uneven the ride is definitely less compliant than stock and the car bounces a bit more. The ride is slightly less damped than I'd like, but I like a heavily damped suspension. It's not under-damped by any means, I just prefer a little less bounce but it's a matter of taste.

Handling is dramatically improved. The car stays so much more level in hard cornering now. It used to wallow slightly and that feeling is totally gone.

The car also has Rallitek 22mm swaybars on it. I'd highly recommend the Swift Sports in conjunction with these other parts if you're like me - you have a daily driver and a long commute and you want the best ride possible while making significant improvements over stock handling.

I don't know what the issue is but i've had quite a different experience with the Swift Sport springs I just installed compared to most people on here. I have a 2010 wrx sedan with 48k miles. I did torque solution pitch stop, trans cross member bushings, sts and bushings and then the springs. The ride is completely unacceptable! Its crazy bouncy, like I mean bad, and bottoms out quite a bit. Just feels like the struts cant control the car. Everything in the suspension appears stock besides what i've done, and I had an alignment about 3-4k miles ago. Got a little bump steer, and some strange jitteriness when I get on the gas around corners. My assumption is the struts are wore out for some reason. perhaps the previous owner (bought the car a year ago at 37k) had some stiff ass lowering springs on them or something, although there was no indication of this, and they are just done. I've had the springs a week and its driving me nuts. My 02 with lowering springs (unknown brand) and kyb gr2 struts was pretty great. would bottom some times over decent sized bumps, but handled great and was very confidence inspiring. My car now is borderline scary, especially on rolling highways at any decent speed, 80+ or so. I put them on last saturday, and when I got paid thursday I ordered koni yellows. I was super excited about these springs and really hope this helps. They should ship out monday or tuesday, so hopefully I can put them on next weekend. Cuz this crap sucks for real. don't enjoy driving my car at all right now.

*edit*
So after writing all this I've been reading for a couple hours and have a few things that might help. Thinking there's a good chance I'm riding on the bumpstops. So option 1 would be to cut a section off those when I do the koni's. Also considering the strut extenders, although I'm not sure if I want to have to figure out how to cut out the whole bottom of the factory housing versus drilling a hole. Should ad a significant amount of travel though so I'm considering it, especially for about $45. Thats option 2. What about doing both? cutting the stops, and do the extenders? It just never occurred to me about the bumpstops after the lowering, and that definitely makes sense. what do yall think? some input would be very much appreciated, as I'd still like to complete all this next weekend. thanks!

Just had AGXs with swift wagons put on Friday. My experience thus far is without a proper alignment(getting it Tuesday). I was expecting a little more drop but that's ok. I do still have a little more gap in front than in the back, but nothing compared to what it was.

As for ride, with front and rear struts set to the stiffest setting, ride is still pretty good. Even the wife agrees. Heck, our 04 Si with stock suspension is more jarring over rough roads. It feels slightly bouncy on rough surfaces, but I hadn't bottomed out yet. Handling is greatly improved....much flatter. Only thing is I'm getting a small clickety clack noise from the front right every now and then while turning right. Not a CV problem either as both front axles were replaced at the same time. Even without the alignment yet, for a DD, I think I'll be happy with this setup for a good while.

So I decided to trim my bumpstops on my car after getting rained out of work today. Took off the front left wheel and noticed a little oil on the strut. hmm. finished that one up, moved to front passenger and same thing. After a week and 2 days with the swifts on there. Not particularly blaming the springs, I think it was more because I was riding on the bump stops and alot of the roads around here are rolling bumps. Many many times I would go over a couple in a row and go from quite a bit of extension to full compression about 4-6 times with a harsh jolt on the last one as the bumpstop got really compressed. The struts were having to fight that the whole time so I can see how that might have caused it. But the fact remains that they weren't leaking a week ago. Trimmed bumpstops helped, but its still a little bouncy since the struts are screwed. Oh well, my koni's should be on the way shortly!

I just installed swift sports on jdm v8 sti takeoffs on my 02 wrx.. I' am probably going to write a review thread because I couldn't find anyone with this set up.. It is amazing!! The take offs already drop a wrx .27" so the drop was perfect! 2 fingers in the back and 2.5 fingers in the front. The handling is just amazing.. No more sloppy body roll just stays flat through hard cornering. My .02

We have matched up GR2s and AGXs with the Swifts and they work well. The general feel with most people is that they work very well with the stock struts, but if you want a to be a little more aggressive, then the above mentioned would be nice upgrades.

We have had a few local NASA instructors test out the Swifts and before they were running Prodrives, and the ones that drove on the two liked the Swifts better in terms of handling and predictability.

I was still debating on what strut/spring combo to go with. Now that I read that swift springs go well with stock struts, I might just go with that set-up.
