Default injector size

Ok, i found some 1000cc injectors that are top feed and also are low impedance. Right now i am using stock modified injectors. These were flow tested and were all matched, but the tester said that the flow was very chunky and the fuel was not in small vapor molecules, but in a fat spray.

my question is should i go to the larger injector and scale down even more to get the added vaporization of the larger injectors. This is because the larger 1000cc injectors have the holes in the screen.

I think these are MSD injectors.

i think this is some information on this injector
Part Number 17113744 (OE # 17104989)
Static Flow Rate @ 43.5PSI (300 KPa) = 95.0 lb/hr / 12.0 gm/sec / 998 cc/min
Static Flow Rate @ 58.0PSI (400 KPa) = 109.7 lb/hr / 13.9 gm/sec / 1152 cc/min
Dynamic Flow Rate @ 43.5PSI (300 KPa) = 2.2 gm/pulse - 2.5ms pulse width and 10ms repetition rate
Coil Resistance: 2 Ohms / Low Impedance / Low-Z (Peak-hold ECM driver modifications required)
Cone Spray Angle - 17.6 degrees - single spray cone. Approximate cone angle for 90% of spray volume

Should i use this large of an injector on a 2.5l motor with wrx heads and a super16g turbo?

pretty overkill in terms of fuel capacity, but the ultimate decision should be the tuner, you should ask them.

I had already emailed you the exact data in that thread. Did you even attempt to run your car with those values? And upgrading to 1000cc injectors from 800cc for a Super16G turbo?

Btw, when you ask for help and you get it, it's usually a good idea to follow up and report your findings. Go to your car update the tables, and report back.

well, yes i did update those tables.

and the reason i was saying this is because these injectors that are 1000 cc have the screen. As of now, my injectors dont. The car is very lumpy on cold start and on ocassion when sitting for a while.

Ive been doing alot of reading on the subject and it seems that even people who have very large injectors like 1000, 1200 or 1600 can have a perfectly fine idle.

I am waying this option because of the possibility of upgrading the 16g if possible, but this would be down the line.

Plus if i want to convert to E85 or E100 i am going to need larger injectors, even with my current setup

....dippi.....I don't think you have thought this out very well.

Exx or Exxx is a LONG-LONG way down the line if Florida and needing injectors bigger than 7xx means a BIG turbo and that means a LOT more power than the rest of the car is gonna handle well......and.....and....and....
