Default A/W injection Failsafes + EMS + EBC

The failsafe sytems that I have seen for alky/water injections kits retard timing and drops boost in the event of flow issues. I have a UTEC for EMS and DTEC foe boost control. How will these failsafe systems override these two?

I was sent a diagram to should the hook-up for the Snow failsafe. I was disappointed to learn that there ~$100 failsafe requires an additional part (thus additional cost) in order to cut boost. I assume this parts is a solenoid. I don't know how a FS will cut timing when you have a piggyback EMS.

I was thinking of going was thinking about going with the SMC kit, but they dont seem to offer a FS yet. I can get a Boost Cooler setup plus FS (minus the extra component) for the same price ans the non-protected SMC kit. I haven't seen any/many Impreza owners using this system. Aquamist products simply cost too much. Coolmist stage 2 is aboust the same price as SMC, but has a clog detector (not the same as a FS). I just don't like the size and look of the control unit. But I do like that it has an on/off switch, which I am not sure SMC has.

Some failsafe devices supposedly work with other brand/model injections systems. Which? Are DIY FS's good enough?

Aquamist DDS3, works with any injection kit. Can be used to cut power to any boost control solenoid.

This is how the snow performance unit works...I personally run it on my evo and I use the UTEC in combination with it. The UTEC retards timing and the SP unit retards boost...
