Default Will STi muffler fit on a gc8?

I'm thinking of buying a stock 2003 JDM STi GeNome muffler for my gc8 swap but will it fit ok?

^ you sure about that?

i've fit an sti exhaust perfectly on my car. As any wrx/sti exhaust, the rear muffler hanger will be rendered useless. No big deal. I don't see why that muffler would be any different.

It should fit, but I think the back hanger will be in the wrong orientation. You'll have to move it for it to work on a GC

Or just not use it. Thats what I did with mine. The Kartboy eurathane hangars hold the muffler on just fine with only 2 of the 3 hangars being used.

Thats what I have. Unless you are doing this for looks, dont expect anything else out of it. That JDM one might have some sound to it, but isnt it expensive?

I'd like to have something pretty quiet for normal driving but I'd like to build my own turbo back exhaust (+ sti muffler) and put in a dump valve so I could create a free-er flowing exhaust when I want to have some fun.

meh
stock sti back box is still under 2.5"

it is quiet! my engine is far more louder then the exhaust (I have JDM STI exhaust too) but the thing is just way too restrictive for me
