Internet tune or off the shelf map???
So I am going to flash to stage 1 and I could either buy an internet tune or an OTS map. From looking at prices, the internet tunes are really not much more at all. I couldn't find a price on AWDTuning.com but I heard somewhere that it was a hundred bucks or so, and dom's were 60? With the xpt stage 1 map costing 77, it seems like the internet tune may be a better deal. Does it matter though for stage one?
One concern I have is the air here in new england. It has a much higher o2 content than most of the USA and I have heard stories about how at big drag events, there is always a group of people who brought cars from out of state and had them blow because of the air here.

Im using Kieth from AWDtuning for my internet tune. It's a fairly simple process to do.All you need is cable, and a wideband sensor is recommened.Just give him the details of your car with mods, fuel you use and he will send a base map and instructions on what you need to log.Just flash your ecu, do a log of a 3rd gear pull save and email to him,he will then make adjustments and repeat the process. He told me i will need between 8-12 map adjustments, but that depends on what mods you have etc.
It is costing me $75 for 4 maps. The good thing is in the future if i decide to add more mods it's easy to get a retune for them. |

Yeah, I dont drag myself but I hear stories from gear heads all the time, although as stated earlier these cars are usually using carburetors.
