the best way is to let someone else do it. . Snoqualmie has that ez learn program. I think it's $120 and you get 3 days of lessons, rental, and lift tickets. Pretty good deal and you don't have to put your relationship at risk.

Anyone not planning to shred monday-wed will be missing out severely. Yes, there will be some snow this weekend, but everyone knows that powder isn't meant to fall on the weekends

So ill on the mountain today. Snow was beautiful. Snowing the whole time but nice and dry. Nothing stuck to goggles or board when you got to the bottom of the lift. Derkson derby finals was today. Pros everywhere.

I blasted up and was on the lift at 9 when they opened. Got 7 runs in and rolled by 11:15. Made it to my open house at 12:40 after getting gas (had 315 miles on that tank, should give you an idea about how empty I was when I pulled in the station) and stopping at home to shower and change. Was supposed to be there at 12 but it was to damn good to leave. Storming and snowing in Bend today anyway. Haven't had any traffic.

Forecast is up to 50" between now and Weds.

12" overnight at Stevens, and it looks like winds will be a lot calmer than predicted. Had NOAA's forecast held up, I doubt they would open higher lifts today. Still windy, but not blizzard conditions.

Another storm Wednesday, I'll see if I can skip out on work and head up Thursday. We'll see how the early part of the week goes.

We got killed by the winds out at WP. Winds + electric outage = closed for the day.
I'm was scheduled to off work today and back on tomorrow. But I swapped out days so I can hit the powness tomorrow!
Almost went to steven's this morning. But I've been traveling a bit much lately and opted out of the commute.

My shred buddies and I are just talking about all the gnar lips that are going to be had tomorrow. We were breaking slaps inbounds yesterday. Well def have to be cautious tomorrow.

I can't overstate how stoked I am right now. This past year has been a roller coaster for me. Nothing provides healing like those pow lines in the wood.

Also... Any NW riders familiar with riding up around Anchorage, AK? I'm heading up in a few weeks for the 1st time and will most likely be riding a resort solo. Looking for some riding tips. Looks like the average temp is around 5-10 degrees F that time of the year so I need to keep some thicker layers.

Anyone out there riding a Burton Nug? I'm toying with the idea of picking one up for an all mountain board. They have a directional version that goes up to 152cm. For some reason, the Nitro Team Gullwing that I've got for that purpose has been uninspiring the couple times I've ridden it this year. I think part of it is that I set the bindings back last year to deal with a heavy and deep pow day. I need to get the stance back to a more centered location and ride it again just to make sure that wasn't it.

A friend of mine has a nug 146 as his only board. Its the twin version though. He rides it in the pow and on the ice. He came from some burton board that was a 160. He's certainly enjoying his riding more and looks more fluid on it. By that, I mean he's going a bit bigger on jumps/drops and throws in the occasional 180 here and there. I've got my Capita Ultrafear 154 that I like for non-pow days and park days. I was thinking the directional Nug would be cool for the days i'm not riding my Gyrator and the days I'm not rolling through the park.

I demo'd a nug last year and really liked it. However, that was on a groomer/park day. I'm mostly curious if anyone has spent any time on one off of the groomers.

Dumping like a mofo in Bend. My buddy said the mountain was insane! I have nothing on my schedule tomorrow besides slaying deep dry pow. 15" in the last 24 plus we're supposed to get 8" more tonight. Should be right around 100" base at mid mountain by tomorrow morning. So stoked for tomorrow. High is forecast for 12* and the winds are supposed to die down dramatically.

If you get first chair, then that means I failed . First decents in high Campbell zones are definitely top priority. If you spot desert camo pants, and a gray/blue parkfit down jacket with duct tape, that be me! I wish ya'll the best of lines! watchout for the rookie snow commuters. - matt

Avalanche warning through this evening. Stay safe out there and avoid the BC until these slabs settle. It could get ugly out there.

I debated getting this board after getting it recommended to me on multiple occasions from Jake at SnoCon Bellevue. He's told me stories of him on the backside in the powder with nothing but success on it. I personally opted for a Burton Parkitect for my all mountain, I didn't want a smaller board like that. I like the feel of an evenly sized board with my size. It also told me something because when I bought it, he insisted we HAD to switch setups for atleast a weekend so he could try mine out
