I'm new to Washington, what are the best resorts to go to? I see a lot of people talking about Stevens but the trail map looks small. Does it typically good amounts powder?

well, it is in fact pretty small, but conditions are usually decent. Keep in mind that any of our local passes dont get very cold typically during the winter so the snow quality can be hit or miss, make sure you check conditions prior to heading up.

Anual snow fall is pretty good so theres plenty of days of good riding.

However, with whistler being 5 hours away, id def say pack up the subaru and head out there sometime. World class resort, absolutely incredible.

today was awful. I had raw nerves and jumped a chair after hearing go! hustle! from the lift attendant. but the poor woman in front of me was oblivious and didnt mive over so I basically got sat on and she fell off the chair, and I had to ride up with her very pissed off friends.

**** Sundays. I need friends.

I could post a bunch of adjectives that might explain how bad ass a day it was at Bachelor yesterday, but I think these pics sum it up nicely.

Stevens sucks, you don't want to go there!

For real, Stevens is not small. It's a longer drive from Seattle than Summit/Alpental but it has better potential depending on your riding style. Summit is meh, but Aplental is really f-ing good if you venture out through the backcountry gate (that is if you have the right gear and training for the backcountry).

Stormed yesterday and snowed 3" plus another inch over night. Everything is refreshed and now it's blue again. Should be like Sunday with no crowd.

how good is the grooming out at Bachelor (not that anyone reeeeally cares about grooming )? from the webcam pic that is showing right now, looks really uneven. I know that the grooming at Snoqualmie is pretty terrible and super uneven.

They do a great job at Bachelor Joel. But you only want to use the runs to get into the good zones off Rainbow, Outback and NW Express.

41 degrees and raining at Stevens this morning? Ugh. Good thing I leave for Colorado tomorrow!

Yeah, I think the last decent day at Stevens was Tuesday. WHICH was awesome. No one there and found quite a bit of untracked areas. Backside was awesome and I spent about 4 hours just cruising over there. I want to go up again but we'll see how much more snow we get...

BUT, when it all melts it looks like the bike park is going to be killer so I'm down for that when it's time. I remember on Opening day when it was all drizzling and nasty we all still had an awesome time.

Great snow the last 2 days. Today was the best because it was a bluebird Summit day. Did a serious amount of vert between 9:30 & 12:30. So good.

Pretty much. Haven't had much snowfall in awhile. Although I think last Sunday might've been good, but the kid and I didn't go up. About to head up to Snoqualmie right now for some turns. Its pretty warm so the snow should be fairly soft by now.

I've been in Colorado all week. I'll give a full report in the next few days. Easily the best snowboard trip I've been on.
