Default The JDM AVCS EJ20 build

Hello all,

I have an 1800 pound kit car, that I have installed an 02-05 JDM AVCS EJ20 engine into. I'm looking for some pointers, as well as some information about some of the mods I have installed, or plan to.

First of all this is a 02-05 AVCS EJ20 engine
I have installed a 12lb lightened flywheel with stage 1 clutch.

I have installed a TD05 16G turbocharger into it, to replace the td04 13T.
I could use more information on the turbo as it came out of a 2005 Subaru Forrester. It says the following on it:

14412AA092
49178-06310
TD05H 08070151

I will be installing a divorced and catted 3" down pipe, with a Varex muffler.
The total exhaust length is approximately 6 feet.

I am planning on a true cold air intake with high flow filter. This will be fed by a ram air plenum and intake scoop similar to that of a Lamborghini Countach's shoulder scoops.
Larger 500+cc pink injectors are in the works, as well as a dyno tune.

I am not another 16 year old with go fast intentions, but rather someone learning as I go, and having turned wrenches for the better part of 35 years across several industries. So Im looking for information from this group to help me set my expectations correctly, and warn me away from dumb ideas.

What can I realistically expect out of this setup? My goal would be anything about 300BHP, but 350BHP would be my happy spot.

I have been also looking into a water to air heat exchanger to replace the OEM inter-cooler.

If your familiar with the driving miss daisy episode of mighty car mods then this is very close to what Im doing, just with a different body on the VW pan.

Everything Im doing is going to be a pump gas car.
