Question Where does my brake fluid go?

Hello, all. Every 3 or 4 months, about 5K miles, I have to add a splash or two of brake fluid. I've checked for leaks and found nothing. I've gone through many sets of pads, bled all the wheels, changed the fluid to Valvoline Synthetic, and it still happens. Where does it go?

Not a big deal, I'm just curious.

Goes in the calipers....when the piston pushes outwards.....somethings gotta take it's place.....brake fluid is what takes its place.

You should not be adding fluid. Every time you do this you are adding water to the system. Not only that but now when you replace the brakes fluid will be TOO HIGH.

Let me guess, do you buy a brand new botle every time you have topped it off? If not then you have added bad fluid everytime....
