Default Looking for a Head Unit with Ipod controls.

I was wonder if someone could direct me to a good HU with Ipod controls on the unit itself in the price range of $150-200 or so. I am looking for a present for my GF for Christmas and I know nothing about audio. She has one of those Ipod radio converters and it freaking sucks. So I wanna get her a new HU with Ipod integreation and I know someone can point me in the right direction as to which has the best Ipod controls on the unit itself.

Throw some options at me please
Thanks.

i had that kenwood in my lincoln and i loved it. it has the usb port on it for crystal clear sound and i found it on sale about best buy for 175 and i paid 25$ for the 4 year warranty. i dont know exactly what kind of ipod controls your looking for but if you plug usb you can change song through the head unite but you cant browse youd have to unplug it and search for your artist.

i personally just made a big ol play list and put it on shuffel and let it go. the aux input is just normal you still control everything through the ipod. the one nice thing about the usb is that it kept my ipod charged. cause id drive and hour to work with it and then use it all day at work and it wouldnt die on me mid day. if your looking for more advance controls your probably looking at a double din or a 7 inch screen. i know nothing about the double dins though or screens. i have yet to purchase one and im sure there well over 200$

I bought a Kenwood KDC BT838U at local shop for $200 before taxes. It works with the Ipod touch, it's satellite ready, and is bluetooth capable. The reviews I've read don't do it justice to me. The menu's are a little tricky but not a problem once you get used to them. The right side knob is a multi function knob so you have to press it in to make selections which can be a pain while driving but again not that big of a deal. I haven't made the bluetooth completely hands free yet but dialing the number thru the remote or thru the phone itself doesn't bother me. I'm very satisfied with this h/u but it's probably the nicest h/u I've ever had.

Check out the Alpine 9884 at www.crutchfield.com. I picked one up for $169.99 shipped with the wiring harness, din pocket and installation instructions. After taking my iPod to a few different shops and playing around with the iPod controls on the Kenwoods versus the Alpines, I went with the Alpine.

It's super easy to use but still has a lot of features and the sound is amazing.

Id say the the alpine too, for me it was between the 9884 and the 9886. i bought the 9886 ($300) because i liked the display better on the 9886, and i got it on sale for 243$ shipped, with din pocket and wiring harness from crutchfield.
