IT says it's an Australian unit, will this work fine with our cars, what about a wiring harness for the thing?

It works just fine. I have installed it in my Baja and my friend installed it in his Outback. It is the same wiring harness.

The pics of the unit look like the face is black, but the installed pics look like the face is kinda bronze colour. Can you let us know what is the actual colour? If you have any more pics, please send to s_a_ireland<a>yahoo.ca
Thanks,
Steve.

Hi Steve,

You are right. The one I have installed is slightly bronze in color. All ones I have for sale are black, just like in the picture.

I am not sure if it fits a Mitsubishi Eclipse. I think it should if it has a double din opening. You may need a wiring harness to plug into this one.

My wife's 2000 Outback has the standard double DIN setup with tuner on top and 6-disc changer directly below. Obviously these are two separate components. Do you know of any issues pulling both of these items and simply bolting in the one you have?

Also, what are the power/output specs on your unit versus the factory setup we have?

Very interested in this setup but I have an '01 coupe with the factory subwoofer under the seat. Do you know if the harness on this radio accepts the factory subwoofer wiring? Depending on what you know and what I can find out I may get one.

Andreas,

Basically your 6 CD changer is plugged into the original factory radio. The original factory radio and this one have the same harness. So you should be able to take out both and plug this one in. It should work fine. You can also return it if it does not work for you.

Bryan,

I have a factory subwoofer under the passenger seat in my Baja too. This unit has the same wiring like your factaory radio and it is should work just fine.

It will fit if you have both DINs clear. However, it is definitely not plug and play.

This will probably sound stupid, but Subaru will eventually do it.

So...no MP3 support yet, correct?

Actually it sounds pretty good. I had an Alpine and I changed to this one because I needed a CD changer. Plus it looks great and matches very well with the interiors in your car.
