@Jack - Two problems with that.. Firstly the Bendix "Electronic" fuel injection didn't incorporate ANY form of intake air temp sensor

And second.. It was never available on the Desoto Firesweep which only came with 2 carbourator options in 1957 - hence my use of the Firesweep and not the Adventurer.. Although the site ONLY lists the 1957 adventurer which was also ONLY available carbourated.. Bendix injection was available in 1958 on select Desotos - and abandoned in 59.

I bought one of these for my Ranger many years ago for fun since it wasn't but like $9.99 on egay. I installed it and my truck never reached operating temps. Yea it had more "pep" on the throttle response side but after losing gas like it was pouring out of the tank and getting a check engine light because the truck had been running for 45min and still hadn't made it past the cold mark I disconnected it and everything was fine again...except I lost that extra throttle response

I left it under the hood and forgot about it until one day the sticky back tape gave out and it fell on my manifold and melted

Or use Hudson as an example...

They list chips for the 56-57 Hudson Hornet....
