Default immortal's 2015 Subaru WRX Limited Driven Fab EFR7064 - 425hp/434tq FA20DIT

Hey there guys...I'm new to the Subaru community, joined about a year or two ago when I picked up my first WRX.

A little bit about myself and my automotive background first...I was interested in modifying cars before I even had my license. I pretty much do all my own modifications and maintenance in my garage and enjoy being a DIYer/ghetto rig master.

My first car was a 1997 Acura Integra GSR which I ended up turbocharging and building extensively. As I was finishing my build, I had the opportunity to pickup one of my dream cars so I parted out and sold my Integra.
http://www.railmaster.net/teg

My second car after that was a 1993.5 Toyota Supra TT Hardtop with about 450-500 horsepower on race gas. This car was a blast to drive and I ended up selling it when I moved away to San Diego for college. I wish I still had it to this day and often wonder where it is. Only 326 Supra TT hardtops were brought to the U.S.A., 63 were black. Damn.
http://www.railmaster.net/supra

Then for about 3-4 years I was out of the car game and got myself a couple sport bikes in the mean time. When I moved back to the bay area in 2004 I needed a car so I picked up a 2001 Honda S2000 which I ended up supercharging and doing a bunch of other cool things. This car was an absolute animal on the street and super fun to drive. Not fortunately or unfortunately, but I ended up selling it so that I could get a truck and build my current motorcycle (R1) into a track beast. I got heavy into the sport bike game and ended up only riding track for the last two years that I rode.
http://www.railmaster.net/s2k
http://www.railmaster.net/r1

So I did that for a while and in 2009 I decided to retire from riding motorcycles. I was pretty much out of the motorcycle and car game from 2009 until now. I ended up buying a mountain bike and went CRAZY over downhill and freeriding. I just recently stopped riding more or less this year, but man did I have some good times.
http://www.pinkbike.com/u/ustemuf for all my pictures and videos. I filmed a bunch of cool videos so if you are into biking you should check it out.

I just had my first kid in 2015 so I was looking to sell my truck and get something I could put a car seat in and still enjoy. I figured I did not have the itch for modifying cars anymore, so I found myself in a 2015 WRX CVT Limited car that I enjoyed very much. I did add a flex fuel kit and some other light mods to the car to enjoy, but I ended up blowing the CVT transmission at 5,200 miles after testing out some launch control features on the EcuTek. I had the CVT replaced and I was hesitant to modify it anymore in fear of breaking it.
http://www.railmaster.net/cvtwrx

But the bug was back, I had an itch to modify my vehicle again...I was in trouble!

Fast forward to current times...24,000 miles on the CVT (no issues at all, still was flex fueled)... I saw Turn In Concept's 2015 WRX Limited project car go up for sale - http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2789398. I knew it was the move I had to make to get myself into car I could enjoy again. Made the moves and ditched the CVT and found myself into a heavily modified 6 speed. I actually bought this car while I still had my CVT because I didn't want it to get sold out from under me while I was trying to sell my car.

But it wasn't enough!! I wanted to build this car to be my ultimate daily driver, so that's what it is shaping up to be...behold my new ride!

I'll be updating this thread as I add parts and take new photos/video. A couple of these items are still in my garage waiting to be installed (I have not listed anything I haven't purchased). Once I get my wheels back from the finish shop, I'll get a good photoshoot and have nice pictures to share... feel free to ask any questions about any modifications and I'll be happy to discuss the build.

My future plans involve STI transmission swap with CF driveshaft, Leather /w Red Stitching or Alcantara wrapped dash/doors (still deciding), possibly vinyl wrap the car (would be a fun DIY), auxiliary fueling system when one comes out so I can crank up the boost a bit, some Recaro's maybe...we will see.

I did a lot of detailing work to get my car looking nice again before the BAM 2016 Subaru meet.. Three stage polish job with Chemical Guys V32, V36, V38 ...Glossworkz Glaze, Jetseal Sealant, Black Luminous Wax.
This was my first time ever really trying to polish or do this kind of detail work. I invested heavily in my own tools & materials and took the time to read up and watch hours of youtube and I am happy I did.

Before... I did not think I would be able to do ANYTHING about these scratches... I was wrong.

After:

Here are some shots at BAM 2016...I got a lot of compliments on the shininess of my paint! It was my first Subaru meet, saw a lot of cool cars out there.

An updated interior shot with my seats in place...I love these. For the price, I cannot complain at all. Comfortable for hours and keeps my shoulders planted in versus OEM where I am flying out.

I tried to get a shot showing my DRL setup...the Halo Fog lights are crispy looking donuts in real life. The pictures always make it glow... I have to find a way to get the shot I want.

Man...what an unnecessarily awesome purchase... this Metro Sidekick air dryer!

oh and yes... I ****ing love this car... the speed, the handling, the feel... man, good platform for me, glad I went this route (versus more expensive fairly stock sports car) (place holder for future images)

Update 10/18/16:

I picked up a Velox rear diffuser (non-aggressive) and after I put it on I felt like the OEM rear spats were funky. So I got some JDM Aero Splash guards instead and like the look much much better.

Also, I crunched the **** out of my OEM lip in a mall parking garage... this was the 2nd OEM lip, I didn't want to spend $400 again so I picked up a Bayson R MPX lip locally (they are in San Jose) for $120. I like it and for the cost I can't complain one single bit. I'm probably going to destroy it within 6 months.

we TRBOWND now son! 15 weeks to get these plates, jesus.

Update 11/13/16:

new Mikey Botti tune is wicked!

doesn't stop pulling

Update 11/18/16:
my new VIS CF Heat Extract hood came in.....scoop!:

that special heat extraction:

It has mounting points on the inside for the OEM Shroud to transfer over so all the air is properly directed into the killer b aftercooler still.

Update 11/27/16:

got my turbo blanket on and new driven fab sump installed. i have some dei titanium header wrap i need to install someday.

also a shot of some of my cusco stuff ya don't ever get to normally see!

thank you! i got the interior carbon fiber pieces from subispeed which are sourced from axis parts (japan) and olm.

the wheels have grown on me, but they aren't my style. the SSR's will be up for sale in the next week or two. my new wheels are much more my style (5 spoke design), much easier to clean, and will also weigh about 3-4lbs less each (that was the main reason to swap out for me, the cleaning too LOL)

edit: 1/14/17

Swapped to the Braum Elite-X seats today...the Advan had some wear on the bolster and they warrantied it for me because they said it was not regular/typical.

little less aggressive on the thigh bolsters, but still holds me in much better than oem. they look slick as f' too!

some updated photos of everything...

sorta not really... i need to hit up a local dyno to get a chart. it made 400/350 on dyno dynamics dyno that reads out 13% lower than a dyno jet.
do you know any awd dynos near south bay?

Well I would do a dyno run at GST Motorsports at Hayward. Think its 100 bux for 3 pulls. He has a heart breaker of a mustang dyno.

Thanks! I am a carbon fiber whore, I love it...too much. I'll try to snap some engine bay shots soon, the carbon fills it up really nice, looks sharp! Just waiting on my Perrin Engine Cover kit to arrive before I take photos.

I updated the post above with some pictures of my new wheels that are on the way. I know the bling is not everyone's taste, but I wanted to do something different for this car that stood out from the rest of the Subie crowd.
