Try this link. This is the same seller I purchased mine from.

Remember you'll probably have to shave off the little tabs on either side to get them to properly seat in the housing.

I wasn't planning on using the OEM housing for this as it is relatively small. My other car is a 2004 Tundra and I have had HID's in the fog light housing with no issues. I have not yet had a chance to compare dimensions but that would be more of the route that I plan on taking.

Was it hard to get into the fog light to change the bulb, you had to go underneath the car and remove the bezel to access the fog light compartment? I like the HID look for the fog lights. So with those HIDs it would be more for aesthetics rather than visibility?

On the driver's side you probably could get away with going in from the top. It's not easy but doable. You won't be able to get to the passenger side going in from the top. It's much easier going from the bottom for both sides. You'll just need to pop out the retaining clips so you can move the plastic cover out of the way.

Even with the OEM bulbs, I do not believe visibility increased much so with the LED's it's more of an aesthetics mod.

Is there worry of dust or dirt getting into the fog light compartment during installation and the disassembling process?

No. As long as you aren't planning on removing the bumper to swap out the bulbs, it's a pretty well protected area so you should be okay.

Oh okay, I bought some yellow film and was planning to put it on the inside on the fog light lens while I was at it, that shouldn't be a problem right?

Someone else can correct me if I am wrong but I believe the yellow film you are referring to goes on the outside of the lens. I don't think it's feasible to apply the film from the inside.

If you are looking for yellow light output you might try this instead:
http://www.amazon.com/Nokya-Hyper-Yellow-Foglight-Bulbs/dp/B003YE53BK
Before I attempt a fog light housing retrofit, I plan on trying a bulb style similar to the one in the link. I suspect it should offer a much better light output then the factory bulb and LED bulb.

Hey, thanks for sharing all the mods you've done! Really appreciate reading the detail and the links!

I've got a Sport Limited on the way and I'm interested to see some pictures and detail on how you did the 6k HID. I'm considering the exact same mod. How did you like the kit you ordered, which one was it?

And do those reflectors swaps for brake lights still function as reflectors?

It's my pleasure. Congrats on the purchase BTW!

As far as the HID's go, I purchased those off Ebay as well. Here is a link to the same kit that I got: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Slim-XENON-H...92309f&vxp=mtr I went with the 6K color and H11 bulb.

I was a little hesitant at first because generally there is a lot of light scatter with non projector headlights. I had a similar setup on my Tundra and would always get flashed by other cars. There doesn't seem to be too much light scatter with the Impreza which is nice. A projector retrofit might be a possibility farther down the road.

Yes, the reflectors still function as reflectors. Essentially what they are is the OEM reflector housing with a strip of SMD LED's.

My list of mods that I have planned keeps growing so I might just create a journal. I have pretty much sourced everything, just need the money to buy them.....

Just thought I would report that old model impreza seats will not fit in our cars. I tried swapping leather WRX seats tonight and it isn't possible.

I would love to read your journal if you got around to writing one. Wow, those HIDs are cheap, even better deal than ones I've been looking on Amazon. Makes my decision much easier now, its just a small investment now.

I'm curious too, couldn't we offset the rims instead of fender rolling?

I was under the back of my car today messing with the exhaust. I have the 5 door sport. I removed the two bolts separating the muffler from the pipe. It actually sounds nice. Has a moderate boxer rumble. Now while I was under the car,I looked at the setup and the exhaust hangers. Rally Sport Direct has a few exhausts that should bolt up just fine...the Invidia Q300 for the 2008-10 WRX, the Turbo XS for the 08-10 WRX and the HKS Legamax premium axle back. Obviously there are no guarantees that any of these three will fit. Based on the hanger position on the Invidia should be able to be used. The other ones I am not too sure about. Now the other issue is that there is no exhaust cut out for the tip. Out of the three that I mentioned, only the Invidia has adjust-ability in the positioning of the tip. The other two are fixed and would require cutting. I'm sure these will improve sound marginally but ultimately having UEL headers will accomplish what we are all looking for and that is the trademark boxer rumble. I am not an authority on this subject so do your due diligence and look underneath at the exhaust setup before buying anything. I am only offering my observational opinion.
Rallisport Racing currently has UEL headers for the 2.5i. I have been talking with Mike and he said he might build the UEL headers for the 2.0 if the demand is there. If I had the money, I would order the 2.5i headers....I'd like to think that they might just bolt up but I need to get underneath and take some measurements and send them over to Mike. His website is http://www.rallisportracing.com if you want to take a look at his work. Maybe if enough of us "bug" him, he will start prototyping earlier.

So I drove around for a bit today with the muffler disconnected and have to say I love the way the car sounds. The only gripe I have is that it has a bit of drone. I believe the drone is a result of the exhaust exiting while still underneath the car. So to remedy this, after I got home I ordered a Vibrant 2 bolt 2" exhaust flange and Vibrant gasket to go along with it. The next thing I ordered was a U-J bend stainless steel 2.125" I.D. pipe. I'll post pics when I get the parts and the mockup when completed. I'll try and get a video with the muffler disconnected and with the new setup.

That will hopefully fix the drone lemme know how it does. .. My car came witha spt cat back I put a down pipe on it from Perrin performance and it opened it up 3in from the turbo back ... Sounds great .. Did you remove the muffler because the diff was hitting it ?? Mine rubs on the diff driving me nuts ...

My car is NA. I disconnected the muffler to see how that would affect the exhaust note. Being that the car has EL headers, a lot of the boxer rumble is lost but not entirely. Essentially what I will be doing is a muffler delete and replacing it with a straight pipe exiting at the back of the car instead of just after the rear axle.

On a side note though, since you upgraded your dp, did you reflash your ECU to stage 2?

will all the talk of headers and exhaust....i would like to know what impact if any it has on your gas mileage....supposedly the new Impreza is tuned to optimize it for MPGs.....not sure there is much room if any for pure performance upgrades on this one.......will be curious to see what the true tuners do with this car....and the impact on MPGs overall....

Any time you deviate from an OEM setup, things will change. It's inevitable. As far as headers go, the UEL headers from Rallisport Racing may or may not have an effect on MPG. This would not be a modification intended to increase performance. Swapping out EL headers for UEL headers would solely be to have the boxer rumble. If anything you would probably notice a slight decrease in performance since EL headers tend to smooth out the exhaust flow. As far as the rest of the exhaust goes just swapping out the muffler should not produce negative effects on MPG. Driving around today, I did not notice a decrease in the MPG's. But then again, I will need more driving time to say for sure.
For the intake, I have plans for modifying that as well but not in the sense of adding a cold air setup. I have a couple of ideas that I am tossing around and not sure which one I want to go with yet. I spoke with the guys at EFI Logics a while back and they told me that it's not worth while to change it, especially since the car cannot be tuned at this time.
The Impreza was not intended as a performance car but that does not mean that simple bolt on improvements here and there wont' net a slight increase in performance at the cost of a few MPG's. That's worth it to me.

How loud is it? I just want a slight rumble to drown ou the cvt noise.
