Default No

Stage 2:
I'm going to say no for the most part.
Because if you change out your headers or the cat your looking at getting a P0420 error code saying that your cat isn't working up to effciency.
You can fix this by spoofing the O2 with a resistor.
The cat is working correctly but because there is less backpresser the ECU will freak out for some reason.
Stage 3:
Well your really getting into some heavy mods here!
You may want to post your question at
http://www.wrxform.com
Tray and Josh from Cobb run this board and can give you options about what you can do.

I'm running Stage 2, minus headers, and Stage 3 mild cams. I've got a MY01 and it has never flashed the CEL. I used the resistor from Pony Express Performance. It's really easy to install and works great!

According to Borla Direct, You can remove the Cat efficiency CEL by wrapping the last part of the header. This keeps the exhaust gases from cooling too much, which causes the CEL.

So anyone running the Boral headers and the Random Tech high flow cat without any CEL problems?

Thanks

cobb stage 2 and 3 cams may cause a CEL. i remember reading something about that. the subaru ecu is very sensitive so i wouldn't be surprised if you get a CEL with cams. i get a constant CEL with my apex itc. doesn't really bother me. a CEL really isn't that big of a deal.

Question Resistors?

Where can I get this Resistor. I have no catalytics and a stock exhaust manifold. This is the weird part, the CEL is on and right at 77-79mph in 5th gear the CEL flashes. Any help, please e-mail me. [email protected]

Thanx Travis

So even you have the Boral headers and the Random Tech high flow cat, then by warpping the headers will eliminate the CEL problem?

Thanks.

daves rs01,

I was wondering if you have run into any problems with having both an underdrive pulley and a lightened flywheel?
