Dudue the Mr. Clean auto dry thingy actually works. I tried it out was quite surprised, and it didn't stip off alot of the old wax too so it kept its deep shine. And yes it even works on glass.

But it only works with their soap.

I put the car wash thingy on the floor, and it got kicked over, and all the soap drained out. I figured, no big deal, I've got a BIG jug of car soap I'll just use a bucket and then finish with the "spot-free" rinse. No dice. The water just beaded up and I ended up with spots all over the car. Now I have to go buy their overpriced soap, or I've got a $20 door stop.

AFAIK you do have to wash the cash yourself (aka scrub the dirt off with a soft sponge or whatever you detailers are using these days using their soap), then you rinse with this stuff as well. Something to do with the soap allows it to all rinse away and not bead.

The idea is that you spray with water, then spray their soap on the car, scrub it, rinse with water, then finish with their spot-free rinse.

I've heard of people who wash & scrub with their own soap, then spray the Mr Clean soap and just rinse it off to get it to sheet.
