maybe one day down the road I'll start doing some crazier stuff to the LGT, for now just the basic stuff is done to it like wheels, coils, tune, exhaust, etc. It is my DD so needs to be moderately reliable. Though my clutch is going at 9000 miles

I do sometimes miss the old version 1 myself, it was mean looking but unfortunately black show cars don't tend to do so well and very rarely get covers. That nostalgia may be why I chose black and bronze combo for my daily LGT though

ok guys, check page 1 again. Next two major steps of the build are up.

Step 4 - August - October 2011 - Beginning of the Right Hand Drive conversion

Step 5 - October 24 - November 14, 2011 - Intial Fabrication work (tubs, firewall, wiper cowl mods, etc.)

Just a preview; refer back to the first few posts for the rest of the pictures of these two portions of the build-up of verison 3.0

Step 7: Throughout build - New Parts rolling in!

Since I'm out of reserved spots on page 1, I will continue the progress pics here as we go forward.

The dash from the donor front clip had been scarred and cut up, I assume during the chopping and shipping process. It needed to be fixed before it goes back in the car to make sure it was nice and clean. The guys over at JPM Coachworks did an amazing job re-wrapping the dash pieces and making them look good.

Dash skinned

New wrap made up

I decided against leaving the gauge pod in full carbon, rather I had the guys at JPM wrap the pod and leave the face in bare carbon only

Finished product

The red stitch was done to match the new seats for the build. Vicious guard dog, Korben Dallas, makes another appearance. He thought the seats were for him.

Step 7: Throughout build - New Parts rolling in! CONT.

I had also been collecting parts throughout the build to keep everything on track. Here's some photos of some of the new bits as they rolled in.

Adel Wiggins Clamps

Some new hardware for the 3pc BBS e88 race wheels

Genuine HKS velocity stack (the purple looks a bit off here, but matches the clamps and wastegate very well)

New wastegate

Custom Titanium wing risers for the Voltex wing. Bare Ti finish with burnt edges.

Special Edition Works Bell QR Hub and Key!s Racing Steering wheel

Last, but not least. Molded Polycarbonate side windows and rear windscreen

New pics are up! Step 6 is on page 1 (posts 11 and 12). Step 7 is right above^ (no more reserved spots )

Step 6: November 2011 - January 2012 - Wiring harness, Brakes, Additional mockup

Step 7: Throughout build - New Parts rolling in

Next up: Step 8 - Final fabrication (this is a big one)

Let's keep the interest up, getting to the really good stuff now!

Love the new parts! Not a huge fan of the "in your face" styling that the steering wheel writing has.

Definitely subcribed. People always ask is it possible to do X to car and then someone always replies "Yes, with enough money you can." They should refer to this thread.

not really much left over to be honest! I sold my old seats and other stuff like that already

the motor setup in the pics isn't even close to final, I did a little bit of motor work. Never had any experience with the feel personally, but I think the braided line is easier to make look nice. If I don't like it on the road I can always swap the lines out.
