Thanks justin! I will see if I can get this version to download on my HU.

EDIT: This is from an Ascent forum but I believe the procedure is the same. The update you show appears to be for NAV maps..did it fix the HU issues you were having?

Hook up your phone with Android Auto or Apple Carplay and you'll like it even more.

Looks good! I wish limiteds had the alcantara wrapped wheel as an option as opposed to the faux leather.

It's my first Subaru, so it's going to take some exploring
I'll get the Carplay set up asap

FYI SubiSpeed has some good options in case you ever want to change out your steering wheel (surprisingly easy to replace as per their install video)

You just plug in your phone to the USB via lightning cable, I think. I have an Android, so I don't know if apple carplay requires more setup than what I needed (download AA, plug in USB cable, follow on-screen prompts to set up). Carplay and Android Auto set up identically across all car makes, models, and audio headunits.

Yeah, but it'd be nice if it was included as a factory option or dealership accessory instead of having to pay so much as an aftermarket part.

They didn't have you set it up at the dealership when going through the cockpit overview?

It’s a cool color. My brother calls it glossy primer. I just don’t think I could live with it for 3-5 years. If it was more gray, maybe I could. I don’t like that it has no sunroof, blind spot detection, or nav (yes, I know you can use Apple Car Play) and HK stereo.

As for the alcantara wheel. I was interested in doing a swap until my friend who has one in his Mustang warned me that sweat just kills them and thus doesn’t make good for a daily driver, which my STi is. In my looking, the OE wheel is not too horribly priced.

Well didn't make the wisest financial decision but trading in my 18 wrx base. Taking over a bit in residual but not too bad. Getting the 19 sti base in white for 36 even. Just waiting for delivery, going to be a looooong 3 weeks.

My son said the same thing!

Only a WRX/STI can pull off this color and maintain its coolness.

Just got my '19 Series Grey WRX on the 26th of December. Really like the Android compatibility, and getting lots of comments on the color.

I actually think itís better on the WRX. To me... the draw for it on the STi are the silver calipers and the Bilsteins.

Neon yellow calipers are cooler.

Yeah, to me both STI/WRX look real good in that gray color. I like the contrasting glossy black wheels, those are a nice touch.

Although for me, I just went with the normal white pearl when I got my WRX Limited last year. I just wanted some level of normalcy. lol

The one at my office has 20% tint and it just makes the color combination sublime.

Not a fan of the body color, but with blacked out badges and a good tint, I have to admit that I like the look better.

I saw a series grey BRZ in a dealership just a bit ago and it looked much better than I thought it would.

Something I noticed with the BRZ that warrants investigation: there was almost zero room between the spokes of the wheels and the brembo calipers. Like, you couldn't even fit a small micrometer with the ID-measure tines in that gap to measure the gap. It was that small. About 2-3mm.

I doubt that's an issue with the WRXs and STIs, though. Still concerning that Subaru would allow that little wheel clearance with the SG BRZ.

^The 18+ STI's are the same way with the new calipers. Very little clearance.

You will not regret it! I basically did the same. I traded in my 2018 WRX premium exactly 1 year after i purchased it for a new 2019 STI Limited. I orginally paid $28,500 for the wrx, they gave me $25k including $500 subaru loyalty gift. New sti was $40k
Yes not financially smart ...lol

My CWP '19 STi came in last Friday. I went to work Saturday to pay for it and had my axle back installed before I even signed the papers. LOL!!

Since then I've only put 6 miles on it and now it'll sit until late March-April for break in before Auto cross season.
