Lightbulb Mcrae back to subaru??

I recently read an article somewhere [i think ten-tenths] that said Mcrae is thinking about coming back to subaru after the conclusion of this season. Anyway, has anyone read or heard anything further on this? It would be interesting to see what would happen to the subie team if he did come. Burns vs Mcrae...hmmmm

I personally don't think that McRae would ever give up all his attention to Burns. Therefore, I don't think he would agree to share the spotlight with him again. Burnsy isn't going to sit 100 yards from the finish line to let McRae win.

Burns has improved alot as a driver and is longing for the attention that his predecessor, Mcrae, enjoyed... Mcrae, however hasn't exactly been on the ball lately and has crashed out alot, I miss him on the subie team, but what would that do to the current team? Juha is a great and steady driver, easily capable of winning the rallies, and burns is one of the best drivers out there right now... the three of them on the same team would cause problems as to who would run for points, Mcrae and Burns, Burns and Kankunnen? which would it be? I think that neither of them would like to be on the sideline running while the other two ran for points...

Sorry too long...

McRae always crashed or else he finishes way ahead. He is a brilliant driver if not the best rally car driver out there. Look where he is at now he is sharing a team with Sainz which is another top driver, so I don't see a problem with him co-existing with other top notch drivers out there.

McRaes reputation as a car crasher stems from his youthful days. He is far more mature now, and all but one of his failures since joing Ford have been due to mechanical failure.

The rumours about a return to Subaru came about because of his frustrations at the Fords lack of reliability, but these now seem to have been sorted. As McRae himself said, he doesn't want to leave the team just as he has invested so much of his time in getting the car competitive.

Burns has rarely matched McRae in a straight fight, and for all his wins, he has never won the World Championship. McRae has all the top flight teams after him because he is recognised as the best driver. Do you really think that Burns would get equal treatment if McRae came back?

I know this seems strange for a Subaru owner, but I hope Ford and Colin do the biz this year.

Mcrae's mechanical failures,, hmmmm, always seems to have more than his team mates, why is that?

In order to finish first you first have to finish
