I just did all this, but im already getting bored of it, and i think its too much. I'm thinking of simplifying it and going flat black wrap instead. I think the custom carbon shift boot, ebrake boot, and armrest are enough carbon fiber "look".

If you're looking for work, you should PM a mod about being a vendor.

How long have you had the wrap on the shifter surround and the cluster surround? And they aren't all one piece are they?

I just did the back side of the key fob, came out alright.
The front seems like it will be difficult, any tips, particularly for the holes for where the buttons come out of?

couldnt get one piece to do the cluster because of the contour of the big hole, then leading into that front part. it would look overly stretched and i think that looks worse than doing separate pieces. the shifter surround was the same problem. I tried one piece, but the pocket part was too stretched, so the carbon fiber look didnt even look like cf weaves. it just looked like ovals of gray and black, so i did a second piece.

I had it for 2 and a half weeks because my roommate bought his car 3 weeks ago, wrapped his trim pieces and gave me the rest. first time wrapping but ive done tinting and decaling (long time ago when it was 'da bomb' thing to do) for cars.. similar process i guess.

exacto knife pen with a super fine tipped blade and steady hands.. alot of patience.

also, make it really tight when you put the vinyl on top. press it down all the way and make sure theres no wrinkles or looseness. then cut it. If its not tight, its going to be harder to cut out the holes because you'll just be pushing and creasing the vinyl as you're making "tracing" the buttons.

If you keep it on any longer, let me know how the shifter surround stands up to heat in the sun. I already have my center console wrapped, from the pod mount to the shifter surround. I just need to do the shifter surround again because it didnt stand up to heat too well and just rose up on its own (which is a characteristic of vinyl.

i used a heat gun to stretch, 'bake' the vinyl on and wrap it around the trims. its on there really tight and hasnt budged yet. but yeah, i'll post back after a few more weeks.

I haven't ordered the flat black yet.. I'll probably do it next week or so. I'm going to be pulling out my interior again, so I dont want to put the new vinyl yet and risk scratching/ripping it off by accident.

Default Radio bezel?

This is the last piece I plan to do, and all the others came out nice. This one is really frustrating.

Thanks.

Thrasher, are you using any heat to soften it while you apply it? I just got my roll of 1080 last week and noticed that it's pretty stiff right off the paper, but with only my wife's blowdryer it becomes insanely easy to form around even pretty complex shapes. Not sure if di-noc is as complient.
