I just did all this, but im already getting bored of it, and i think its too much. I'm thinking of simplifying it and going flat black wrap instead. I think the custom carbon shift boot, ebrake boot, and armrest are enough carbon fiber "look". |

How long have you had the wrap on the shifter surround and the cluster surround? And they aren't all one piece are they? |

I just did the back side of the key fob, came out alright.
The front seems like it will be difficult, any tips, particularly for the holes for where the buttons come out of? |

I had it for 2 and a half weeks because my roommate bought his car 3 weeks ago, wrapped his trim pieces and gave me the rest. first time wrapping but ive done tinting and decaling (long time ago when it was 'da bomb' thing to do) for cars.. similar process i guess. |

also, make it really tight when you put the vinyl on top. press it down all the way and make sure theres no wrinkles or looseness. then cut it. If its not tight, its going to be harder to cut out the holes because you'll just be pushing and creasing the vinyl as you're making "tracing" the buttons. |

i used a heat gun to stretch, 'bake' the vinyl on and wrap it around the trims. its on there really tight and hasnt budged yet. but yeah, i'll post back after a few more weeks.
I haven't ordered the flat black yet.. I'll probably do it next week or so. I'm going to be pulling out my interior again, so I dont want to put the new vinyl yet and risk scratching/ripping it off by accident. |

Radio bezel?
Question for Black thunder or others with 02-04s...did you have trouble wrapping the piece that surrounds the radio? I've tried twice now, and both have been epic fails. The upper recessed corners are very tough, and the little openings for the hvac stuff are difficult too. Does anyone have good tips on this piece, particularly the hvac cutouts and the upper corners? This is the last piece I plan to do, and all the others came out nice. This one is really frustrating.
Thanks. J |

Thrasher, are you using any heat to soften it while you apply it? I just got my roll of 1080 last week and noticed that it's pretty stiff right off the paper, but with only my wife's blowdryer it becomes insanely easy to form around even pretty complex shapes. Not sure if di-noc is as complient.
