I don't know what exactly is wrong w them bc I never split them, but they spin freely..most of the time the turbo will ***** the bed and if it's under 100k Subaru covers the engines under warranty..they come loaded w pistons/rods/crank no oil pump, water pump or anything.. Shoot me a PM if interested!

i am willing to come pick them up. we dont need to burden anyone else.

we will take whatever you can get, after inspection of course.

as long as this is all legit and legal, this could be promising.

pm karl or I a phone number.

well i filled my intake ports with gasoline and the valves are leaking 2 are noticeable right away and the other 2 are slow seeping. i want to hit the valves with some compressed air tomorrow to see if i get any bubbles in the ports. looks like ill be getting those fixed for the new block.

so how does someone approach the machine shop with...ummm, this is the second time your heads blew up my engine...

besides a new machine shop...i guess a leak down is in order before fire up.

guess that wasnt false knock.

well compressed air around the valves causes bubbling in the port in the gasoline.. im assuming the valve job from the machine shop is to blame? they should be air tight right? i mean thats what i think you need to compress air in the cylinder..

Comp is low 115, 120,125, 125 last time I did it which wasn't long before I took it out. That was on a cold motor and it's a very loose motor. I checked 1 cylinder hot and it was up to 140

battery is dead, wont take a charge, so im gonna take this opportunity to relocate battery into the trunk. thing is do i really need to put a cut off switch on the back of my car? im going to get a sealed box and mount it properly so that wont be an issue.

If you relocate it to the back you need a cutoff. I think its so dumb but that is the track rules. So many cars come with rear mounted batteries, and they dont get **** for it. IMO I wouldn't put a cutoff. When ever you get to the point that you need a cage etc, then do it because when then look over the cage they will see the battery back there and look for the cutoff switch. Until then tech is not very picky.
