HOLY ISH!!!1 Best Wedding Gift Ev4r!!!!
my sister is getting married today. much of the family of the the groom is pretty well-to-do.
but one guest in particular .... well, he's a billionaire. he wrote a check for $10,000 I can only imagine what I could do if someone wrote me a check for that. And seeing as how the wedding is paid for, the cash is all their's. And unfortunately, I have a feeling they'll piss a lot of it away. but, oh well.

I now want to be a billionaire just to be able to do things like this. "Oh, my neice's son is getting married? I'll stroke a Check for 5 times the value of any of the gifts they receive. Yes, that shall do."

Powerball is $97 million for tonight. Go buy the winning ticket and start writing big wedding checks.

my bet is that they buy her husband a new(er) car. his jetta is falling apart ... because he bought a jetta. anyway, they've been talking about a car for a while but didn't think they could afford it.
maybe this is like his way to test them when they start marriage. my sister is pretty shrewd with money, her husband to be isn't. putting myself in their shoes, i'm shrewd with money, my girlfriend (maybe, depends on how this "break" pans out) isn't. if we just got married, i KNOW she would want to spend that on stuff that isn't wise. I'd want to save or invest it to use it toward a house. That would be quite the argument. |

That would be a motor swap for me. Smart way to spend money? no. Fun way to spend money? Yes.
