First nice day in a while so pulled her out of the garage and gave her a good bath! Washed the wifes kia too since that was pretty disgusting from her long commutes

Realized one of the retaining tabs on my STI's side skirt broke off while raising the car the other day.. it's the one that is on the very front of the skirt and the one size I didn't have in my parts bin.
Went to the local auto-parts store and bought a few different sizes, got one to match. Ordered more spares. |

I just got my car about 5,000 miles ago and was on a 150,000-mile blown-out suspension of stock.

NotA911 on a Boxster don’t think anyone was getting fooled. Not seeing the whole point of the video unless it was for a class. |

The video is an update on build progression. Most of my followers only see updates to my cars on YouTube, so it's just showing what we've changed in the first month. |

Raised the headlight aim a little to put low beam illumination a little bit further down the road. As usual I staggered the aims, with the cutoff of the passenger side set a little higher than the driver side (picks up road signs a little better). Much better on a trip down my street and back, and I think I'm good (done this before), but the proof will be in the pudding if I don't get any high-beam flashes from other drivers.
Need to bring the fog light patterns up, too It's utterly pointless to illuminate any of the road that's under the hood line, and there's always been a less well-lit zone between the upper part of the fogs and the lower part of the low beams. Uneven lighting tends to be more tiring. Norm Last edited by Norm Peterson; 01-13-2020 at 07:19 AM. |

For those of you 2015+ running Eibach front and rear swaybars, how are your factory endlinks holding up? Thanks.
For me, not much going on on my Subies since my STI is in hibernation again and WRX has been sitting idle the last few months due to another used daily driver I recently bought and have been testing to see whether there is anything wrong with the car or not. |

Install hubcentric rings. Forgot to buy them when I installed the wheels. Like a 15 min process.

Just installed the Perrin short throw adaptor with my stock shifter. Already had brass bushing, shift stop, and group n mounts installed and I think all together it makes a nice combo.

Stared at my STI a bunch while putting a new power steering pump and radiator in my brothers 97 land cruiser, cool truck though and easy to wrench on, I like driving it more then my 4runner I think.

Dropped off the car at the dealership today to get the recall WUK96-1 done. About an hour later, they called me that the car is ready to pick up. When I get there, my service tech told me that they couldn’t do the recall done because of my car being to low and the front spoiler is in the way. In order for them to get it done, is to raise the car and remove the front lip

Seems the dealership should have been able to work around the ride height issue somehow - boards/planks and/or a drive-on such as is typical for alignment bays.
But I think they were simply being careful as far as your splitter is concerned, not wanting to accept any liability for damaging it benefitting you . . . and having to take time above and beyond book time for the recall to be super-careful with removing and re-installing it being the plus for them. It's not like they're going to give this job to one of their top techs. Norm |

I understand about the ride height but tech told me that the front lip is in the way to get the recall done.

Is that splitter a separate piece from the bumper cover or are you in for pulling the whole business off? Norm |
