The shop quoted me 10-12k to do it. Frankly if I canít get the car back on the rode for less than 5k I donít think I want to fuss with it anymore.

I love my car but I have other responsibilities. Such is life.

Do a JDM 2L motor swap, that should be well under $5,000

I think my issue is not having ever done a swap myself or knowing where to get a motor like that.

I have no doubt I could get a used engine but then I have to find transportation for it and someone willing to drop it in.
