Should do the up pipe while you're at it. Quicker spool and save the turbo in the long run.

Now I'm no pro and just giving my opinion as you asked but I would go with choice number two with the UP. While the PW is a great piece, you won't benefit much from it while being in the stock turbo.
Again just my feedback Edit: once you go for an upgraded turbo then I say PW. |

None of the above. Get swaybars + endlinks.

Just the up pipe.
Then, spend some on your brakes and do the H6 rear up grade. I have to ask though, what are you goals for the car? |

I vote the UP heat wrap and suspension bits. The reasoning is suspension parts make your car feel more fun, handle better, and are a long life upgrade that don't require tuning

Honestly at your power level your not going to benefit that much from an aftermarket exhaust manifold. If I were you I would screw the process west tmic and just find a lightly used Sti one and with the money you save from over paying for the process west find a cheap cat less up pipe and Sti injectors as well... Then turn up the boost a bit. Sti intercoolers can handle more power than your stock block can. You can achieve all of this with under a grand if you play your cards right.
Most importantly before adding anymore power make sure the upkeep on the vehicle is up to date. People who chose a new turbo over a timing belt are retarded. |

I don't think either of those choices make much sense for your current setup ul headers are pretty much always a waste of money, el is the only bang for your buck, but those will push your powerband to the right and you already have a turbo that doesn't have much top end power. I'd say for $1000, get a used vf39, some sti injectors for $100, and an STI tmic... Then hope that you don't blow anything up. Btw, if you have that current setup without a real tune... You need to get one asap

Also, depending on your morals... Pull the map off your ECU, sell the AP, reflash map with tactrix. C/N: Don't dump any more money into your 11 year old car. |

lol okay im not trying to be a d*** but i dont agree. 1 personally i spent a lot of money on the mods i have (which i dont regret) and love the way my car sounds and performs as of right now. 2 i enjoy upgrading the car i have weather its "11 years old" (even though its only 10, 2012-2002=10), 2 years old or 40. 3 your basically telling me to revert my car back to stock, which i dont understand because i dont want a stock wrx or else i wouldnt have upgraded anything in the first place, which i am sure a lot of bugeye owners will disagree with u on this. and 4 getting ALL the parts i already installed in my car uninstalled, selling them all, buying all the OEM parts, and paying to put them back into my car, will still cost me money just like upgrading will, but with a lot more hassle

I said reflash your ECU with the cobb map, and sell the AP. Again, no loss in performance, just $$$ in your pocket. Your 2002 WRX was built in 2001, making it at least 11 years old. I understand the enjoyment that comes from wrenching on your car. But I see a lot of $$$ wasted in parts that give you next to nothing, while you ignored suspension, brakes, etc. I can tell you're young. From experience, you'll appreciate the $$$ in the bank for your next project. Sorry, can't recommend spending another $1,000 in mods on a car that's worth $5 or 6k. But if you were going to, how about some sway bars, an H6 upgrade, and some better tires? How about a couple track days? Last edited by REX8; 11-13-2012 at 02:06 PM. |

how do i get rid of the ap? if i uninstall it doesnt it undo the reflash? i never really understood how the uninstall process worked. and doesnt some tunes require the ap?...i dont know to much about tuning or the ECU. if it really is unnecessary in every way then yes i would like the $500 but if it does benefit at al, bc i do see a lot of people using them, i would like to keep it

on topic, good choice on the mods and let the haters hate. Besides, everyone who sold their bugeye misses it, just ask around. |
