Thumbs down What Did you Think of the GTLIVE????

I was very unhappy with the broadcast of the JGTC and D1 drift they put 3 day of racing and drifting into a 1 hour show I think the JPGT Race should of been on a different broadcast and may be the hole race instead of 25 mins of highlights... I think the JGTC coming to the US should have been a bigger event and Broadcast. Plus I some what blame this on Speed TV, for not caring... Over all I think the people that didn't get of go (do the being on the east cast, etc....) we got the shaft

Why Bother!

We have been living with a similar curse with WRC.

I Tivo'd it but turned it off after 5 minutes or so. It was too much MTV style spaz editing and had no focus.

The Speed WRC coverage is elventy trillion times better than the GT Live show!

Yup, seemed like more commercials that JPGT coverage. The girls were nice, but I can't focus in 1/2 second anymore...

what is JPGT that you guys keep talkiong about?

AFAIK the GTLIVE people said there was gonna be a 2nd 2 hour show that was dedicated to the JGTC race and be covered as an actual race...

JGTC is what I thought it was, too, and had that typed in, then thought, "Hmmm, maybe I'm wrong..." Old Fart's short term memory loss.

Not sure how Alain DeCadenet can respect himself after being involved with that horror show.

im sorry your ice cream was too cold.

i thought the show was just fine. it was an introduction to a new race series that is very unfamiliar to the casual race fan (ie. not us).

had some cool incar.

this definately should win the award for most loaded poll ever.

baby steps.

I thought it was a good move on Speed's part to include him. He added a since of "real racing" to the event. I know the JGTC is real racing but when you add D1 to it I have a feeling to NASCAR dads that keep the channel alive will probably turn it off. If they calmed down on the editing it would have made it so much better and easier to watch.

go ahead and watch it. it was fun. anytime i get to see cool cars its worth it.

i am in love w/the cockpits of the JGTC cars. it looks like a jet fighter in there.

yeah it has a little too much f the quick edit cuts but oh well.

you all are forgettting that the JGTC coverage we used to get was only a 30 minute show at 2 in the morning on a thursday. this is a HUGE step in the right direction for speed.

Did we watch the same show? I hardly saw any JGTC footage, most of it was about the girls, the drift cars and the D1 event in general. Anytime JGTC was mentioned they'd show a few seconds of footage then cut away to something else.

I am encouraged by those who say there will be real race coverage of the JGTC event though.

Default what race?

The "race" was run without the usual restrictions on the cars,
it started in single file and the teams didn't even know the rules.
The time given it was plenty.
After all, it was just a big promotion, not a real race.
Don't get me started on the driving skill shown.

Wait, the JGTC guys have skill now? That must have changed since the last JGTC races were shown on Speed.

Was better than nothing. At least we got to see some of these fast cars and a little drifting. Remember, they have to roll the dice that ppl are going to watch this as the JGTC has little if any US TV coverage in the past to judge tuned viewers.

I thought it was ok compared to other racing shows. Will watch again if they take out the MTV editing, put a proper guy behind the mic and show some more tech stuff bout the sport.

no, i mean the people who watch 2 races a year, the daytona 500 and the indy 500, these people dont obsess over every minute detail of racing and in fact they really dont care. they are the ones who spend at least 75% of the money that the sponsors are trying to get.

NASCAR fans are not casual race fans.

I see what you are saying, I still think it was not a good introduction to the race series.... I think they should have sepereted the D1 and JGTC. It was wrong to get everybody hopes up about the coverage and they produce that 1 hour show. The JGTC race should have been covered live or in a better timeslot (not interfere with NASCAR of couse )... Granted it was better then nothing, but very disappointed overall.
