Default 2008 WRX Perrin Stage 2 with Perrin TMIC and TBE. Dyno

I dyno my car today and got 202 hp with 250tq and was hoping for a higher reading. But I was told this Dyno gives a lower reading. Any one have a stock 08 sti dyno chart?

Perrin TMIC
Cobb DP

Dyno Dynamics AWD at http://www.dentsport.com/services/dyno-tuning/

Someone else's dyno sheet will mean crap to you as you CANNOT compare dynos. Ask DSG what a stocker puts out on their dyno before you see someone post a plot with more than what you got and you post "OMFG my car is the lemon!!!!!1" A dyno is a TOOL, it measures baseline performance then is used to measure tuning or parts success/failure, nothing more...nothing less. So even if you put out 59HP on dyno Y, you could still beat 300HP cars from dyno Z at the dragstrip.

Like Unabomber mentioned you cant really compare to an 08 STI unless it was on that particular dyno. And even then ambient temps and dyno settings will vary its output...

However that must be a pretty low reading dyno. I obviously had much higher numbers on the dyno I use with a similar setup at one time.

Can you post up the dyno sheet? I'm curious to see the curve....

EDIT :

i THINK this is a TUNED 2008 STI with Invidia turboback + HKS drop in...

I pulled that off there webpage, I cant find stock numbers....

Surprised they didnt run a little more boost with an upgraded TMIC, 17-18 or so. They may have had there reasons though. A lot of people run 18 psi on the stock turbo when I tried that with mine I just couldnt get anymore out of it passed 17.5 psi. Not exactly sure why but thats all she had. aka maybe they found it too risky to run more boost due to insignificant gains....

Curve looks smooth though, I think your fine just a very low reading dyno....

You're not comparing apples to apples. There are so many variables that are different that your post is nothing more than misleading.

Different car
Different tune
Different motor
Different dyno
Different altitude

....and so many other variables. Please people, you gotta stop telling people what they 'should' have, like I said it's very misleading, and we end up with people posting threads titled 'Why am I not making as much HP as everyone said I should?'

A dyno sheet tells you where to stand in reference to every other car on that dyno within reason, providing that something hasn't been changed. But even there it doesn't mean what is better. That's why it's always just better to list mods and not worry about a dyno sheet. A stock wrx could read 500whp on a dyno, and then one with a gt35r could read 5, so it would be misleading, but when talking to people if you just said "stock vs a gt35r setup" you can get a better idea.

I'm not really worried about my max hp on the Dyno sheet. I would like to see where the stock 08 STI makes max hp and where the power starts to drop off.

Just make sure it was done on the same dyno. Email the guys who tuned yours and see if they can send you a graph for comparison. If you do, post it up.

I just wanted a dyno run with a off the shelf map from Perrin and I will get pro tune when i upgrade turbo, injectors and fuel pump. Also from what I was told the injectors are running at 95% duty cycle.
