Default Vehicle Inspection

I moved from out of state and have 15% tint all around, save for 5% on the rear. Never would have done that except I also never expected to move to Boston. Do I have any chance of passing an inspection anywhere near/around Boston? I always see tons of other cars on the road with dark tint. What happens if I fail because of the tint? Please PM me if you have any advice or if you know of preferred inspection centers.

Otherwise i guess I will be forced to have someone remove the tint for me.

The tint you may be able to get away with. Roll in with the front windows down and hope they don't care enough to look. If you have other mods it could be tough.

The days of throwing the inspector some money is over. They've installed cameras in the inspections bays, by law, to make sure they're doing their job. MA sucks a big one, sorry you moved here bud

I'm not even sure that the Inspection Stations even care about the window tint. There are a lot cars running 15% window tint all around, except for the windshield.

Real problem is when you get stopped by the cops.

Worst case scenario is you can have the tint on the two front windows removed and replaced w/ 30% tint. That would make you Mass. legal

Contact TintWorks and see what they can do for you.
There is one in Burlington, MA.

It can be a pain. I have 40% tint on mine and had stations reject me before.

In my experience, especially with the new Inspection Station Monitoring process, you're not gonna get a sticker with 15%.

I just had my gfs car inspected and he said they have to take and submit pictures of everything they inspect. We had to remove the license plate frame bc it was blocking the words on the bottom of the plate
