Default correct fuel pressure??

so looks like someone messed around with fuel pressure regulator when doing my clutch job, because it was at 20 lbs @ idle and running like crap.i cant localize my tuner, but i'm pretty sure he had the fuel pressure in the 40's almost to 50 area.i moved it up to 45 psi @ idle, car runs and feels great since i moved it.I'm running 650cc injectors,255 walbro and a big 16g with meth injection. Car made 330whp/330trq.
what should my fuel pressure be at? thanks nasioc

Base pressure on a stock system is 43psi with oem fpr, you should be fine at 45, as thats not too much of a jump.

Do you know how to set base fuel pressure? Base is 43 psi but you won't read 43 at idle. If you do you set it wrong.

Fuel pressure is referenced to the intake manifold. Idle fuel pressure will be much closer to 35 psi than 45psi.

The best way to set an aftermarket FPR is to pull the reference line from the intake manifold and adjust until it's ~43psi (or your desired fuel pressure)... then put the reference line back.
If your tuner tuned with a different fuel pressure than stock, you need to find out what fuel pressure that was. Like now.

43 psi is the default base fuel pressure.

Not only that, but it is the standard fuel pressure in the automotive industry for fuel injected vehicles, outside of diesels and direct injected engines.
