That's not going to happen unless someone wants to make a custom turbine housing casting. Given the intricacies of the EFR TS IWG turbine housing that is highly doubtful.

So would this be a better option than going rotated with say a 3076 .82?

Stock exhaust manifolds?

Any chance FR would also make the up-pipe for 3-bolt headers?

I figured, one can always hope.

Maybe I missed it but what is the AR on this turbo?

This makes me not what to go rotated on my next car. With supporting mods and more boost this would make for a great street monster

So how many lbs/min is this turbo? What is the biggest stock location that they are going to make?

we're really happy to get this feedback paul - Ive been excited for a while now. I promised you this was the real deal!! It is particularly exciting considering your setup is doing this thru a cat, 2.5" exhaust and stock TMIC. California visual inspection could pass

That was sort of the idea - we've heard from a lot of people that wanted the performance and powerband of our twinscroll rotated kits but at a fraction of the cost and easier to install (no fabrication, install in a driveway). Doing a B1 EFR in stock location keeps everything clean/simple and based off the feedback we've had from people it could work well for many different setups

^^^thanks for adding that note

I really like the idea of an EFR setup that uses the TMIC.
-the EFR 6258 and EFR 6758 are both B1 turbos and will be available in less than a month. Once supply begins it will not drop off again
-YES, 6258 and 6758 is the identical footprint to 7163. once the 7163 is available it would be a drop-in.
-thanks, we also like the TMIC - its very easy to install and useful on a road coarse car because the airflow helps keep engine coolant temps in check

the 6258 and 6758 are identical in outer dimensions and appearance to the photos in this thread. the 6758 will probably be the most popular imo, best combination of transient response, spool and low inertia

I have the high pressure actuator and that combined with the hybrid Grimmspeed boost control allowed me to dial in the exact amount of boost I was looking for with rock steady boost control.
+1

correct, the EFR bpv is on the compressor housing. People have the option of running dual BOV/bpv but in my opnoin efr only is cleaner (like paul is running)

it is a very important to purge unused charge air from any spark ignition engine with a throttle body. Diesel trucks do not need a bpv/bov because there is no throttle body. Ive seen that crawford does not run a bov on some of their motors, but in my experience when doing that on GT30R turbos and drift cars was not good. One note - our EFR turbo kits there is only one spring for the EFR's bpv, not interchangable springs. much simpler than external BOV kits of the past

the 7163 is the biggest stock location we will make. the compressor maps will be released once the turbo is ready for production, it is still undergoing development and changes. the 6258 and 6758 are what will be intro'd later this month

Highly unlikely that BW will make a turbo that would only fit the TS Subaru flanges. The market for that is tiny and they will lose more money (development and manufacturing cost) than they would make.

Fullrace, any plans to make a 3-bolt up-pipe as well to fit this turbo?

Geoff, will some of the newer tech, like the mixed flow turbine in the 7163 make it into any other models?

Even though I'd have to change my entire turbo setup, this is still an intriguing combination that may prove more capable than any other "stock" location twinscroll turbo. I'm looking forward to seeing some retail prices in the future so I can figure out if it would be worth the dough to switch.

Why the ebc and mbc series setup? And also what would you need to be done to get this turbo to work a 2011 wrx with stoçk tmic location?

"Hybrid" boost control is in parallel, not in series. Best of both. There's a HUGE sticky thread on it in the tuning forum, but the basic gist is that you can get the full advantage of an MBC (easy tune & set fast spool, smooth sound with no solenoid "chuffing" oscillating noise at target boost) for your maximum boost tune, while maintaining factory safety boost cuts, economy / pump gas maps, tapering at high RPM or running lower boot at part throttle, etc... by tuning the solenoid.

With a blocking type solenoid either "leg" of the parallel plumbing can open the wastegate and the tuner chooses when one leg opens and the other doesn't.

Honestly I think 375-450 whp is the sweet spot for reliability for a built Subaru THAT'S GONNA LAST! So The 6758,7163, and 7064 are the turbos most of ous should be using anyway. 500-600whp in a Subie is equivalent to a EVO with almost a 1000. Entirely tooooo much stuff jst breaks on our cars. 10 grand jst for a built block to handle 500whp + isn't worth tha trouble there's a reason the Japanese don't push the EJ series like we do in the states.smh

If the 6758 is a 49lbs/min the 7163 has to be in the 50-52lbs/min range since the 7064 is a 56lbs/min

Do you plan on building a kit like this for the 7670 EFR?

Not to speak for FR, but I doubt it. The B1 frame turbos are the only ones that can physically fit in stock location and as it is, clearances are tight and require very precise tolerance holding to ensure consistent fitment. With that in mind, it is highly doubtful that any B2 frame turbos (like the 7064) can be made to fit in stock location.

Very promising turbo, as per the tests done by Perrin. http://blog.perrinperformance.com/bo...test-and-tune/

Very comprehensive comparison's and there's such a huge difference!

Before this, most differences were always a result of a better match between wheels and A/R. It seems like the aero on the new EFR7163 turbine is from an entirely different planet and really makes a leap instead of the small improvements we've seen over the years.

Now lets hope the supply of this new EFR turbo improves as much as its performance has gained

Paul, you don't have to speak for Full Race... Full Race already posted in this thread that the 7163 will be the largest stock location.
