i just had eibach pro-kit springs installed in my '99 RS and am very happy with the results. there is no dip during acceleration or braking and the road feel is much better. stability was improved a great deal. sweeeeeeet!!

I can vouch for that, I brought him to get his car from the shop, when he took off and stopped the car didn't dip at all!!! I'm all sorts of jealous!

I had V5 struts w/ eibachs installed in december.(plug rallispec here). Compared with my stock springs/struts w/80K...
A little body roll, could be the snows, although the ride is nicely balanced (performance vs comfort) especially for WMass/Northern Conn roads (frost heave city as of late).

I have been running the stock struts w/ Eibach springs since 11K miles (almost at 30K now). I love it. WEbkris and I did this to our cars, and most thought we were kind of crazy for not replacing the struts. I like it so much I bought a used set of struts from a '00 car w/8K miles, so it will be my setup for a while. I have this, and the 20mm rear bar. It is great. Get real tires and you will be amazed.

The springs cost me $300 when I got them, but can be found for around/under $200 from www.tirerack.com I think. I have the Progressive kit.

The car does not seem lowered at all in the front, and the rear just kind of levels out. Here is a pic of my car with 205/55R16 snows on the stock rims:

Hard to tell from the pics, but really, most do not notice the change, unless they drive the car and/or own an RS.

i also found that it dosent look that lowered in the front but there is absolutely less wheel well there. yes, body roll is almost completely eliminated, even with the stock struts. the ride is really amazing. it really isnt much more stiff than stock as far as the ride is concerned but again i will say that stability is much much better.
