Just got lucky and found one of these for my 2011 WRX. I have the OEM 10" Kicker sub - I'll have no problems with that right?

I'd kind of like to do the backup camera too. Did you end up getting one installed ptsmalls? Is it possible to use the OEM forester one or do I need to use an aftermarket model? I think the foresters have a harness already run to the back so I'd have to figure that out. I'd also wonder about power and detecting that the car is in reverse on a 5spd.

They're HD Radio units, not Nav units, so, no, they will not.

Oh gotcha. Can you directly swap the Nav units in?

Heckles yes! If you want OEM Subaru Nav, I hear the new 2012 units from the WRX/STI/Impreza are a step up AND half the price of previous MY. Otherwise just check aftermarket. It depends on if you're trying to retain usability and integration with your current Subie. It doesn't say in your profile which car you have, but most people want to continue using steering wheel controls and Bluetooth with their newer Subie. This is more bothersome to retain with aftermarket units, so the appeal of OEM units is how ready they are to use these features.

It's optional, then. If you can get it for Invoice price of $800 then I say go for it. $1000 isn't TERRIBLE, better than the crazy $2k they wanted previously, but that depends on you for sure.

It'll be easier than looking for a good deal on an HD unit, although now that the 2012 Impreza has it as an option it'll increase the chances somewhat.

Get the price for the unit separately. It's $1k list price. They're probably including installation? You can have peeps on NASIOC help you for free or beer, depending on their/your age. Radio installs aren't that hard, it's just about not having exposed wires and not using crap loads of electrical tape ().

Yeah, I was hoping with the name "GT35RHybrid" you'd be capable of a stereo install.

Does anyone happen to know if the BT features are the same on the 4.3" radio? As in will it read my address book form my phone like other manufacturer's radios? Or is it like my stock one where i have transfer them one by one and give them a name in the HU. (Which really sucks)

Anyone got tips on where to find one of these? I've been looking on eBay for months with no luck. :/

Just scored one off craigs list. $250 overnight shipped plus came with sirius unit (minus antenna).

google all of craigslist and use one of those search engines.

The BT works exactly the same as stock STI non nav phonebook and all. No easy download, must still program 1 by 1

I got one last week off Craigslist. I'm currently in the process of installing a backup camera so it hasn't gone into my WRX yet. Should be another week or so.

For me its not about who I call but who calls me. If it would sync e whole book automatically then it would show the name of who is calling me on the screen versus just e phone number.... Oh well cant have it all I guess

83154FG040 is the part # for audio and cruise control steering wheel switches.

86201SC630 is the actual radio.
