Default cobb v1 stage 1 91 to 93 loss of power? ??

my car was flashed with a cobb stage 1 91oct when I bought it. The dealership foolishly put 87 oct in it. So I figured the ecu compensated and retarded timing and what not. This morning I reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery then I reflashed to the stage 1 93oct map. Car def feels slower!! How long does it take to adjust or should it be ok out of the box??

You probably still have a mixture of 87 and 93 in it. I'd drive out of boost until your gas light comes on and fill up with 93. Do some logging (NOT WOT PULLS) or monitor knock and make sure you're not knocking like crazy. It may feel fine, but you could be definitely have a lot of knock. You could also put a few gallons of 100+ octane in if it's available by you.

I've been through 3 tanks of 93 since running that 1/4 tank of 87. It pulled pretty hard up until I flashed the 93 map. When it had the 87 in it I drove till the light came on. I was driving back from atlanta so I ran through 2 tanks of 93 after that at highway speed out of boost.

Then the 93 octane near you might not actually be 93 octane. Just switch back to the 91 map.

Gotcha. I use the same shell gas station in the city that everyone else uses. I may just try a mixture.

Why would the motor be blown? There is no knock.

Anytime you reflash you will have a dead pedal feel for awhile some cars take longer than others. Mine usually is gone after 50 miles or so but I've never put in the wrong gas so... you could of done some damage. And second did I understand correctly you flashed a stage 2 map when your still on stock downpipe?

And thanks for the dead pedal explanation. That's what I think it's going on.

No check engine light... no knock... could it be the dead pedal feel (iam)? I've only put roughly 20 miles since the new map.

.09mpa = 13.05psi that's lower than stock. I'm gonna run with the ap to get an actual number when uy stops raining.

My stock boost gauge always shows lower than the AP shows. I just use the AP to know if I'm in the proper boost levels and the boost gauge to see when and if anything funny is going on. Mine at .09 mpa shows 14.9 lbs on the AP.
which is spot on Target boost for my 2004 Stage 1 WRX.
