!!!!need Advice!!!
I recently installed a rebuilt TDO4 in my 04' WRX along with a Perrin Silicone Inlet, DC Sport up-pipe, AEM Cold Air Intake, and Silicone Intercooler Hoses. I am now about to install a 3" Downpipe w/Cat, 3" Exhaust, and a Grimmspeed EBCS. I have a Tactrix Cable and EcuFlash loaded on my PC and I was going to download the XPT Stage 2 Map w/GM or Grimmspeed BCS, but it specifically states that it is for "K&N Panel Filter (or similar panel filter)". Can I use this MAP with the AEM intake? All of the other components match up to what XPT specifies except for the intake. My stock airbox was cracked in several places and to replace would of costed more than the price of the AEM. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd get in touch with XPT folks and ask them. By default most people on here would say you would need to tune for it, some intake manufacturers used to claim for some model years (like yours) that their intakes measured identical to stock but it's not something I'd trust my motor to. My guess is they will tell you EXACTLY what the map notes say.....prolly gonna have to rescale the maf in a tune. Since you already have a tactrix you are situated to get a etune scaled specific for your car so you can save some dough if you really want to use the AEM intake. my 2cents

Thanks for the advice! I contacted and e-tuner (Dux10) since he lives about 30minutes away from me in GA. endrswrd - I did not see a XPT map on their website for the AEM intake?? I did write to them 4 days ago and have not heard back. They don't have a phone number listed on their site so I am assuming you have to email and wait. I talked to Steve (Dux10) tonight and I think I will go with him. Based upon my conversation with him and the reviews I have read on NASIOC, he definately knows what he is doing!

I agree with this. Because of how crappy they are, I started tuning myself. The OP and I will hopefully link up this week and get him squared away!!
