Default Another noob tryin to figure out guage install

So I have read several threads on this subject but haven't found one that fits my needs yet. I want to install prosports boost and EGT gauges in the Autometer dual gauge bevel and I want to know where the best place is to tie in for power and alternate power(ACC). The instructions with these gauges say to connect red to 12v+ and black to ground... I got that. What I dont get is the Green to parking lamp and the white to acc. Doesn't this mean the parking lamp will have to be switched on to recieve power, and is acc anything that powers up in the first position of key turn? If there's a thread on it please show me a link. Thanks.

First hopefully you tapped into the fuse box where the coins are. Next you need to tap the white wire into the acc as well so the gauge will light up white(otherwise it will just be red i believe). The green should go in the fuse #11(I think..) which is the one labeled ILLUM. (standing for illumination). If you do this the gauge will be white once the car is on the "on" position and will be green once you turn on your headlights at night. Hopefully that helps. If you want I can post up pictures later...IF you really need it
