Okie Dokie Fine

Default Dead battery...need to figure out why...maybe I shorted something out?

Car: 2005 WRX, stock battery, stock stereo

So I have a aftermarket horn, and have I've had it wired up for about 2 years now. I relocated the horn (kept the relay in the same location) on Saturday night. All I did was make a new longer power wire from the relay to the new location of the horn, and then instead of grounding the horn to the neg lead of the battery, I grounded to the chassis.

Now, my battery is dead. I jumped the car at work to drive home (and removed the inline fuse to the relay) thinking that the alternator would charge the battery up enough on my 30min drive home. Got home, killed the car, and now it doesn't have enough juice to crank it over. I can get a new battery, but I'm worried that I need to fix something first, just so it doesn't happen again soon.

Any ideas? Think I did something? Can there be a short somewhere and NOT blow the 20A inline fuse???

Get the battery tested, it's old enough to possibly have died. Turbo cars kill batteries faster than NA cars, so you are in the normal life range.
